Please excuse the lack of features in the last two months but work and personal life just got in the way. However, I am determined to be better with the posts in 2018. But if you do not want to miss updates from me, you are welcome to follow me on Instagram and Twitter.
I would like to dedicate the first feature of 2018 to the new products from my favourite brands: Rouge Bunny Rouge, theBalm, Hourglass and BECCA.
Rouge Bunny Rouge just brought out a Provenance Tales Collector’s Coffret which includes Silvan, Incognito and Silhouette. Each comes is a gorgeous 15 ml glass bottle, so luxurious. A great way to discover the brand. There is also a Fragrant Confections which includes Chatoyant, Vespers and Tenera.
theBalm just released quite a few exciting products. I love theBalm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Matte Eyeshadow Palette (Review and Swatches) so am happy to see Meet Matt(e) Shmaker Eyeshadow Palette ($29.50) which includes a paired selection of 6 matte and 6 shimmer shadows, so dreamy.
There is also a new highlighter. And, as you know, I am also a huge fan of their theBalm The Manizer Sisters Palette (Review and Swatches). The new addition is called Bonnie-Lou Manizer Highlighter & Shimmer ($24) and it is a “gilded glow-getter is an all-in-one highlighter, shadow, and shimmer”.
Finally there are two liquid highlighters: Mary-Dew Manizer & Bonnie-Dew Manizer Liquid Highlighters ($14.50). Our favourite shades now in a liquid formula. theBalm also suggest mixing these with lip products to get that sheen. Bring it on, baby!
As for Hourglass, they are on a roll with the new hot launches. There are new
It feels like I am starting every monthly favourites with this. But how is it August already, the 8th month of the year? Where did 2017 go?
All that aside, here is a list of the things I have been loving in July, and please keep in mind that I am still loving/using all the products from the previous months, but I just want to mention the ones I haven’t mentioned before.
I have only discovered this product in July but I think this will be a new long-time favourite. There is no need to say that the formula is amazing, it always is when it comes to this brand. But what is so special about it then? It is the shade which is perfect. Bronzer/Blush is a great description, as it is not your typical bronzer, it has a reddish undertone to it. When I first saw Balm Desert, it made me think of Dallas by Benefit but they are not the same at all. Anyway, this products is great for adding colour to your face, and for gently sculpting it, too.
Daniel Sandler Watercolour in Moonglow (review and swatches)

Regular readers will know how much I love Watercolour blushers from Daniel Sandler. In fact, I have written a very detailed review of them with tips from Daniel himself.
So this feature will be mostly about the new shades, and not an in-depth review. And there is a kit of four colours! It retails for £49.50 while a single shade is £16.50 which makes each shade from the kit retail for £12.3!
So what are you getting?
- Moonglow, sheer, pearlescent white highlighter
- Sun Glow, a warm, golden bronze illuminator
- Luxe, a delicate, matte peach
- Pop, a medium toned, matte pink
Each bottle is 15ml.
My personal favourite shade is
Benefit’s High Beam can be probably called a cult product already, no?
This was my first liquid highlighter and it was a total love! Although I adore my BECCA I am still in love with my Benefit.
I like using my High Beam on the cheek bones, under the brows, above the upper lip and sometimes in the centre of my nose. Basically as you would have used any other highlighter.
I also like the cute bottle which some people mistaken for a nail polish and get shocked when I am trying to use it on their face 😉 Here is how the brush looks like
