SS18 Foundations: YSL, Marc Jacobs, Dior and NARS

As usual, there are quite a few new foundations out for SS, so let’s take a look at some of them.

The shades shown are: B20 Ivory, Fair R150 – fair w/ pink undertones, Barcelona – Medium 4 – medium with golden peachy undertones and 80 Ebony – very deep with neutral undertone.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat All-In-One Glow Tinted Moisturizer, from Neiman Marcus and  Saks.

This is the base I am personally mostly excited about as I am a huge fan of the Touche Eclat. I am also loving the promo image with Zoe Kravitz, obviously.

“Touche Eclat All-In-One Glow Tinted Moisturizer is a skin-loving, all-in-one medium coverage tinted moisturizer with SPF 23 that evens complexion, eliminates dullness and smooths fine lines.  The finest pigments and ingredients that respect and care for the skin. The formula is oil-free, non-comedogenic, talc-free and dermatologist tested.  The coverage is buildable from light to medium”.

DIOR Diorskin Forever Undercover Foundation, $52 from Nordstrom

“A 24-hour, ultra-fluid, water-based foundation blends full coverage with a lightweight formula to deliver a natural, matte finish that goes from day to night”.

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, $49 from Sephora / £35 Look Fantastic

Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence Review and Face Swatches

So, after I’ve posted a preview of  Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence, it is time for a proper review.

So here are my thoughts about it:

Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence Review and Swatches packagingThe packaging is gorgeous, the product comes in a black cupboard tube with the signature RBR design. Te bottle itself is  a dark matte glass, the foundation comes with a dropper.

The price is almost €60 (€59) which seems really expensive for 15ml but, as the name suggests, it is an essence which means that it is a very concentrated liquid. You need a tiny drop for your face, and it will last you for ages.

The brand describes the finish as demi-matte, and I agree. It gives that flawless coverage and evens out the skin tone perfectly. Just make sure you add some dimension back with a blush or whichever product you prefer.

Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence Review and Swatches 1Skin Soul Drop is not really an on-the go foundation. The application takes some time, and you can’t just “slap it on”. I like applying it with two brushes. A classic flat synthetic foundation brush (something like this one) to spread it out evenly and a kabuki brush (like Sigma) to blend it into the skin.

I personally think that

BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme

Unfortunately, I don’t have any news about the new BECCA blushers yet, but I do have an information about the brand new foundation.

By the way, I was told that there are quite a few exciting new launches from BECCA in the near future, can’t wait.

So the new products is Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme, 30 mL / 1.01 Fl. Oz., £34.

Clarins Extra-Comfort Foundation Review and Swatches. Rave

I have already reviewed Clarins  Instant Concealer  which is pretty awesome. But what about the foundation from the line?

Clarins Extra-Comfort Foundation (£35 for 30 ml) comes in a glass jar which is very chic and luxurious to look at,  but not very practical (especially when you are in a hurry) in so many ways. But that is the only thing that’s not my favourite in this foundation, everything else I adore.

“Anti-Ageing, Replenishes, Illuminates.” This is how the brand describes the product, and I would agree.

I have dry skin, and I love everything [yes, I do realize that I’ve already said that] about this foundation, it is so good! I don’t even know where to start…

The Illuminating claims? It delivers! I was sick at home for a week and this foundation instantly (yes, the name speaks for itself) transformed my skin from dull  into a glowing and polished version (of course, with the help of the right skincare). Seriously, I was
