Dior holiday 2011 makeup collection is all about the lips and the eyes. And it is all about the gold and beautiful jewel toned shades.
Jean Cocteau once said: “Dior, this airy genius of our times whose magical name includes that of God (Dieu) and Gold (or)”
The fascination with gold is inherent in the brand DNA, and did not end with the passing of Monsieur Dior, but has continued over the decades. Just think about J’Adore Dior video with Charlize Theron for example.
And now for this collection Tyen, Creative Director for Dior make-up for 30 years, created the sublime Dior lipsticks which are a unique combination of colour infused pigments with a gold light which makes lips and nails radiate.
Rouge Dior Les Rouges Or £22.50
There are seven limited edition shades. All lipsticks contain ultra- fine golden powder melts on the lips, the finish is sheer and has a plumping hydration of all Rouge Dior Lipsticks.

I’ve been meaning to write the review of the Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyes Wide Open Brightening Liner Duo for a month or two, but I think that now, with their new A Cappella look released, it’s a perfect timing.
I LOVE multi-tasking products and this is a perfect example. This is a pencil with two ends – Highlighter and Brightener.
The Highlighter is a pearly milky white and the Brightener is a soft matte pink. It is suggested that you use the pearly shade under the eye brows and in the inner and outer corners of your eyes. And as for the Brightener – in the inner rim of your eye to make your eyes look more open and yourself look more beautiful as the result.
I really like the texture of both sides as they are soft enough to glide on the skin. I think it’s a perfect product for travelling as it is so compact and you can blend it with your fingers (so no additional brushes). Actually I use it with the fingers all the time.
The highlighter is a beautiful colour that gives a natural highlight to your eyes and face. RBR have gorgeous highlighters, but if you can also use this one instead of your regular highlighter if you wish.
As for the brightener, you
Here are just some random makeup questions and answers, I hope you enjoy them! And I would really love to hear your answers 😉
Do you have any makeup memories from your childhood?
My Mum doesn’t really use makeup these days and she never wore a full face of makeup on a daily basis as far as I know. But in the past I remember she would wear some on the special occasions.
I would never forget the cake mascara she had and how she would use a lipstick as a blush. I also remember that she had a lot of lipsticks and I loved looking at them, occasionally I also loved using them on myself and… on the wall. But well, to defend myself I can say that I don’t remember doing that as it was ages ago.
When did you start using makeup? Do you remember what brands did you get?
I’ve started wearing makeup when I was 14, I remember how I’ve asked my parents to get me some makeup for my Birthday and they did. They got me mascara, several eye shadows and lip glosses. I can’t believe that I don’t remember what was the brand’s name though. I remember that I was buying Mary Kay and Max Factor in the past and I was really enjoying both brands.
What product changed your idea about the makeup?
I remember some time ago I had an idea of counting how much was worth the makeup that I was wearing. And last week, after I saw such post on one of the blog that I like, I though about doing the same thing.
So here is the makeup that I wore on Friday.
Firts of all I’ve used a Mineral Primer by BECCA, £34 (my review here). Then I’ve mixed two foundations – Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect in 71 Abricote Clair,£9.5 with Max Factor Xperience Foundation in 85 Deep Soapstone, £10
I’ve used Chanel Bronze Universel (£26 or £28 I can’t remember) to countorand to add some colour to my face, highlighted with BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl, £33 (review here) and added some BECCA’s Beach Tint in Grapefruit, £19 (review here).
I’ve started with
There is nothing that can be compared with the delight of seeing the new collection. I look at the photos and always think what I’d love to get for myself. I was happy to find out that this livejournal published the photos of the new Dior collection. And looking at these photos I can really feel that it’s a holiday collection.
