I have recently posted about some new lip products: glossy ones and classy lipsticks but it seems like those uber popular matte (often liquid) lipsticks are not going anywhere. And here are the brand new releases.
Lancome Matte Shaker Liquid Lipstick, £19.50 from Selfridges
“Water-in-oil-based emulsion is formulated with a patented Ultra-Thin Film technology to deliver weightless texture and a second-skin feel”. You also get a great colour pay off and a comfortable, non-drying wear. There are quite a few shades to choose from and the images Lisa Eldridge created are gorgeous.

Since we are having a Lipstick Week, it is about time to finally write a full review of my lipstick obsession – NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania.
I’ve picked it up back in the winter and already featured it a lot of times on my Instagram and in my favourites, too.
Long-time readers will know that I am a huge fan of berry and plum vampy lipsticks and I have quite few but I’ve picked this one up not only because of the shade but also because of the name. Long story short – Transylvania will always have a special place in my heart, although I have been there only several times.
But, back to the lipstick…
I really, really love it. As the name suggests, it is a
Makeup4all will turn 8 this February but somehow I never did any themed weeks yet. But I’ve decided to give it a go, because why not?
So, I announce the Lipstick Week.
I will post about the new releases, will review some lipsticks from my collection and will feature my current favourites, along with the most popular lipstick posts in the last almost 8 years.
And it seemed like a cool idea to start this week with an overview of PAT McGRATH LABS Lust 004 Lipstick Kit, $60 from Sephora.
Each kit comes it Pat’s signature packaging with sequins and includes two matte lipsticks, a clear vinyl gloss, a metallic gold pigment, and a microfine glitter.
You can wear the lipsticks on their own or layer the glitter/pigment/gloss for the ombre or multi-dimensional look.

Here is a yet another weekly update of the new products for face, lips and eyes that caught my attention featuring matte Gucci lipsticks, super colourful YSL mascaras and cushion blushes from Lancome.
Gucci Lip Sensuous Deep-Matte Lipstick, $40 from Saks.
” New contemporary formula with a lightweight, smooth feel and an extreme matte finish. The intensely deep colors are brought out by the rich, concentrated pigments. The combination of the bold color and supple finish are unexpected and are designed to instantly change the wearer’s look. ”
There are 12 shades to choose from.
“Revolutionary intense, super shiny color for lashes. The
Although I personally love berry and plum shades all year round, they look especially nice in Autumn/Winter. Recently my friend asked me what lipstick I was wearing as she really loved it, and was surprised to hear that it was Maybelline. This made me think that I should write about affordable berry lipsticks that I would recommend. So here are three different options…
Bourjois Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipstick in 06 Plum Russian (review and lip swatches)
It is a gorgeous glossy plum which feels comfortable on the lips, and is super easy to apply as it comes in a crayon form. You can get a sheer colour pay-off or layer it for an intense effect. It can also be worn on top of other lipsticks if you want to create an extra sheen/gloss. The other day my Mum saw this lipstick, and loved so it much, that now I have to get a new one for myself (as she “borrowed” mine) .
