Mascara is probably the makeup product. And usually even those ladies who are not into makeup love themselves some mascara so I’ve decided to dedicate this week to mascaras, and we will start with looking at my all time favourites. I’ve selected six: five black and my all time favourite colourful mascara.

A few of these are a cult classic, and for a reason, I must say. Hourglass mascara was launched relatively recently but it took the beauty world by storm. Smith and Cult is the
Regular readers know that I am a mascara snob.
Although most people think that mascara is the product on which you can save, I usually invest in mine, with only one exception. And that is Max Factor mascaras.
I have reviewed all their mascara launches which came out in the last several years, you can read them if you click on Max Factor category. I think they all are absolutely brilliant, and I always recommend them not only to my readers but also to my friends. And I know that some of my girlfriends are now fans, too.
And today I want to talk about the latest release which is Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara, it was already mentioned here.
Unlike most MF mascaras, it comes in the colourful teal and gold packaging, so a lot of people may like that.
As for the mascara itself, the fist thing that you notice is the brush which is huge (see the comparison photos below), and looks different from anything else I’ve used. According to the brand, helix shape enables a 360° application. And that is the
I was browsing Makeup4all the other day, and stumbled across this post from 2010. The point was to choose only three products I could use for my makeup. I was actually surprised by my choices, so thought I would do the same thing six years later.
So here is what I would go for and why:
I just have to have some kind of definition for my eyes, black liquid eye liner or a brown eye pencil, or even some eye shadows. But if I could use only one product- that would be this. These days I am loving ArtDeco, but there are lots of other nice ones I like.
Mascara ( Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara, review coming later)
Max Factor have been killing it with their mascaras lately. Their Masterpiece Transform High Impact Volumising Mascara (review here) was one of the best ones I have ever tried, no wonder it won so many awards.
I have been using it since February, and I want to share my impression finally…
Apparently this mascara contains lash extending carbon-black fibres for thicker, longer and more intense lashes.
And that is how it works – Glamour Extensions gives amazing volume, great length as the short bristles allow to coat each lash; and don’t forget the ultra black intense colour. I also love how long-lasting it is! I have sensitive eyes that are often watering, so it is important that it doesn’t smudge or run. Big thumbs up for such an amazing formula.
I have been
When I was a teen, I considered Max Factor mascara to be a proper luxury, I had to save money to get myself a tube. Although that was ages ago, but I am still in love with the brand’s mascaras. In fact, their latest one – Excess Volume Extreme Impact was very innovative and brilliant
But what about Masterpiece Transform High Impact Volumising Mascara?
It is actually phenomenal, I think. I have been using it for weeks now, and I am absolutely in love. It gives the most amazing effect – intense, dramatic ultra black lashes with impressive volume and fullness.
But I have to mention that this mascara gets a lot better with time when it dries out a bit, but I think that it’s the same for all the mascaras.
And what I personally appreciate the most – how long-lasting it is. It stays on really well, of course not as a waterproof mascara, but definitely better than any other mascara that I’ve used. My eyes are very sensitive and they are watering a lot, so I really appreciate it. It can be hard to remove it by the end of the day, but who cares?
The bendy rubbery brush has short bristles which distribute the product that way that it coats each lash and gives this dramatic effect.
