Zoya Flash & Sparkle Collection for Summer 2010

Posted on 05 Mar 2010

Zoya just publishes the information about their new Summer 2010 collection. I always wondered why this brand is called Zoya which is a women’s name for those of you who don’t know.  So this is from the history from the brand:

“Art of Beauty was founded in 1986 by Zoya and Michael Reyzis. They had a shared vision, which evolved from a small nail salon into a spa focusing on natural nails, skin care and alternative European herbal treatments. Today, the company has grown to become a manufacturer of the most innovative professional beauty products ever created.

Zoya, originally a classical pianist in Russia, earned her Cosmetology license in 1979 when she and her husband Michael immigrated to the United States. While pianist jobs were limited, the world of cosmetology offered a new profession and a means by which to build a new career. Through Zoya’s hard work, and a demand for quality and healthy, natural ingredients for her clients, it became evident that there was a need for the perfect products. Responding to his wife’s requests. Michael, an advanced chemist, developed and patented unique products such as anti-wrinkle treatments and shampoo and conditioning treatments for the salon & spa. He also created the first working fast drying topcoat and the longest wearing, toxin free natural nail polish, revolutionizing the nail industry.”

All this story makes me want to try this brand even more but it is pretty hard to get it in Europe. This is why  I contacted Zoya and they were so kind to give me some contacts were we, Europeans, can get their products! But back to the new collection Flash & Sparkle Collection for Summer 2010.

Illamasqua’s Hottest Nail Colour Competition: My Entry

Posted on 02 Mar 2010

I thought that I should take a part in Illamasqua’s Hottest Nail Colour Competition.

Althought I am a big fan of red and coral nail polish there are too many shades like that so I thought about teal, lime green or turquoise. I even wrote a post about teal already but changed my mind.

My perfect nail polish would look like this:

Lime gree but not too bright (or neon) with tiny golden shimmer in it.  I could not find a colour that looks like this but I love the colour of Mojito which is a lime green. I think this nail colour would be perfect for Spring!

I would love to see this colour on my nails

Go Green with Manhattan Cosmetics Nail Polish. Review and Swatches

Posted on 08 Dec 2009

I really like a lot of brands from Deutschland (Germany). My fav of all times is Artdeco.  But there are too many other great brands on every taste and wallet.  Last week I made a lot of posts about new nail polish collections so today I would like to show you the last nail polish that I got myself. It’s a super pretty shimmery green colour (#85) by Manhattan cosmetics.

“Dries only 60 seconds: long-lasting, intensive colour and shine for nails. With X-Act brush for easier application.”

I agree with everything! I love the design and the brush is amazing. Plus it takes  about a minute for nail polish to get dry.  But probably the best thing is that you get nice colour just after you use it once. On the photo below Ihave 2 layers.  I got this  nail polish for about $5.
