So the question of the week was ” What are your favourite nail polish shades?!”.

This is how my little brother painted the nails of his girl for the first time in his life.
You can see some black lines near the pastel and light shades because originally he used the black nail polish but then removed it (not completely as you can see).
If you are interested in the colours he used: butter LONDON Yummy Mummy, Illamasqua Viridian, Sally Hansen Blue It, Maybelline Wonder Violet, Essence Undead?, Illamasqua Alarm, Inglot #949 ,Barry M Berry Ice Cream not sure about this one, Maybelline Coconut Crystals.

I thought that I should take a part in Illamasqua’s Hottest Nail Colour Competition.
Althought I am a big fan of red and coral nail polish there are too many shades like that so I thought about teal, lime green or turquoise. I even wrote a post about teal already but changed my mind.
My perfect nail polish would look like this:
Lime gree but not too bright (or neon) with tiny golden shimmer in it. I could not find a colour that looks like this but I love the colour of Mojito which is a lime green. I think this nail colour would be perfect for Spring!
I would love to see this colour on my nails 🙂

Run in conjunction with luxury retailer, Selfridges, this incredible competition is giving nail varnish fans the world over the opportunity to push their imaginative boundaries further than ever before and design their very own perfect shade. Entrants must explain in no more than 50 words what inspired their unique choice, and provide an image or photograph to illustrate their big idea.
The prize? Two winners will see their dream colour created and sold exclusively at Illamasqua.com and Selfridges in London, Manchester Trafford and Birmingham from October 2010. In addition, they’ll receive a bottle of their winning colour before anybody else!
The winning entries will be selected by a high-profile judging panel consisting of legendary make-up artist Alex Box, nail artist to the stars Sophy Robson and YouTube sensations Pixiwoo.

Nudge – a lovely mint icecream shade that I think may well be my favourite of the four.
Caress – a beautiful cornflower blue that is a delectable hybrid of blue and grey. Very unique
