I take red lipstick very seriously, and by that I mean that I do not find a favourite red every day. I have tried so many, and it has to be a very special shade and formula for me to say that I love it. But in the last several months I have found one which I am incredibly in love with. Yes, maybe too much of a statement to use when talking about a lipstick but hear me out.
It is an opaque creamy formula, which glides on and feels moisturising on the lips. I also have to mention the relatively strong scent which I personally like. As for the staying power,
Since we are talking about lipstick today, I thought I’d show you one that I have been enjoying recently, I’ve actually had it for months just did not get a chance to talk about it yet.
It’s Rouge Bunny Rouge Colour Burst Lipstick Hues Of Enchantment in Raw Silence which was used for the brand’s Autumn Santa Ana look.
It is not the only lipstick from the line that I have, I’ve already shown you Scrumptiously Devious shade.
As for Raw Silence, I think this is the coolest Rouge Bunny Rouge name ever, and a great choice for a red shade. It is an opaque (colour burst is a very appropriate name in this case) creamy and non-drying lipstick. It goes on smoothly and doesn’t enhance the dry patches, unless your lips are in a really bad condition. I do find this lipstick to be nourishing, as it is promised.
I would say that it is a classic red, not too bright but not
I have already written about the Lava eye shadow here, so now it’s time for this gorgeous red lipstick which is called Red Carpet.
I am a huge fan of matte lipsticks in general, so was excited about this one.
It applies smoothly, does not drag the skin and looks opaque with just one layer. With two you get an even more intense shades and it lasts for a longer time. This lipstick stays for hours and hours if you put on several thin layers.
Of course, don’t forget to prep your lips before applying Red Carpet, I’d suggest a lip scrub and a balm, as such red colour (and matte finish) demands perfect surface!
I would also recommend a red pencil with it if you are going for a define full-on look. You may also gently dab some product with your fingers for a stain effect. I have tried
You don’t need a special occasion to wear red actually. But if you are too shy (or whatever reason you have) to wear it on a casual day – go ahead and wear it for the Valentine’s.
Speaking of Valentine’s – I used to hate is with a passion, but now I love that day. Why? Because it’s Makeup4all’s Birthday. This Valentine it will turn THREE years old which is unbelievable.
But back to the lipsticks. I have chosen seven variants of the lipstick that are not limited edition.
If I do a red lip – I like a bright deep matte or satin colour, but since not everyone would go for that I’ve also added a sheer version and a lip/cheek stain.
Let’s take a look!
So here are the swatches. I am not going to write anything as you can read all the reviews but clicking the links!
