MakeUp4All Magazine Summer 2010

As I promised here is the first review of Illamasqua products. This time it’s liquid metal in Phenomena from the latest collection called Dystopia.

What is written @ the official Illamasqua website about this product:

Prepare to dazzle with this gloriously rich and highly pigmented metallic cream. Use to adorn eyes, face and body, and apply with fingers or a brush. Release your inhibitions and illuminate your alter ego.

£16.00 , 1.5g (0.05 OZ)

Available in:

  1. Solstice, Molten gold
  2. Enrapture, Molten bronze
  3. Phenomena, Molten silver

So what do I think:

I was very excited to try this product but I was a bit afraid because of the cold silver colour. I have warm brown eyes and I usually wear warm colours. But I totally loved how Phenomena looked on eyes! I felt in love with this product from the first sight. The design is amazing and stylish the products is very pigmented and you need a small amount so it will last you for a long time.  Plus I really loved how it smells (and it is very important for me).

My recommendations:

You can put it on with brush or just fingers. I’ve tried both ways and it’s very easy to use it with your fingers, so don’t worry.

Be careful when you put it on  and don’t touch anything if you put it on with your fingers because you may end up with glitter all over your face and clothes.

You can use liquid metal on your eyes, lips or somewhere else. I’ve tried it on my lips (on the balm) and it looked great!

A base is essential when you wear liquid metal because it will crease without a base. You can also put it on  a shadow. I would not recommend to put it all over your lid because it doesn’t look very nice at the end of the day.

My conclusion:

DiorShow Unlimited Mascara. Review and Photos

Holidays are almost here and I am sure that you all want to look fabulous. So this week I will tell you about some of my favourite products. I’d say Holy Grail products. Today I will tell you about my favourite mascara of all times! DiorShow Unlimited Mascara.

diorshow unlimited mascara

DiorShow Unlimited Mascara, £20.00

What it is:

Dior’s cult-fave mascara formulated with an ultra-stretch texture that provides unsurpassed, backstage results.

What it is formulated to do:

Lengthens and curves as it adds suppleness and staying power. The double-side brush provides professional application.

My opinion:

All DiorShow Mascaras are great but Unlimited is my absolute favourite. This mascara lengthens and curves the lashes. Unfortunatelly I am not lucky enough to have my own long lashes so this mascara helps a lot. It makes my lashes look amazing!

I love absolutely everything about it! Everything is perfect: the

Hand Cream with Olive Oil by Doliva. Review

I am the biggest fan of olive oil so I get a lot of skin care  with olive oil. I am also a big fan of hand creams. And this is my favourite hand cream of the moment. I already wrote a review about the lip  balm on the photo. You can read it here

makeup-doliva-hand-cream

This is what is written about the cream:

Rough, dry hands need special care. Extra virgin olive oil and precious jojoba oil protect the skin against drying and make them soft and silky  smooth. Enjoy the Mediterranean scent of olive oil and fresh, sharp lemon.

Use: Apply several times a day to hands to help combat rough, dry skin

Nivea Natural Beauty Cream. Review and Swatches

Having a radiant and even complexion makes you look and feel beautiful. Using a foundation to achieve this look is sometimes disappointing as it can appear unnatural. Nivea Visage Natural Beauty Radiance Boosting Moisturiser (£8.80) has a pleasant shimmering effect for an instantly even and radiant skin. Result: Instant natural-looking, radiant and even looking akin

nivea_natural_beautyWhat do I think

I was thinking for a long time what to write about this cream. So here is my verdict. This cream will work for you if you have great skin tone, no red spots or dark circles. In this case  your skin will just become more radiant and will look healthy.

But if you have problems with your skin:  red spots, pimples and things like that I would not recommend you using this cream. Yiu can’t hide all that with shimmer ;)

Especilly I would not recomend to use Nivea’s eye cream under the eyes if you hsve dark circles. In this case you nead a consealer and to sleep more!

So you should make  the conclusion yourself.   But I wouldn’t say that this Natural Beauty cream by Nivea is a must have. You can check out the photos that I made of this cream on the skin:

max factor 2000 calorieWhen it comes to mascara I  usually use only high end brands. But Max Factor 2000 Calorie is my fav drug store mascara. And, honestly I can’t find even tiny  “-” in this mascara.

But there are a lot of benefits:

  1. Affordable price
  2. Long, thick sexy lashes
  3. It gives your lashes a nice black colour
  4. It stays on for the whole day
  5. Nice consistency
  6. I like the design ;) etc

This is how the brush looks like
