After Rouge Bunny Rouge changed the nib of my all-time favourite Raven Glaze Lacquer liner a quest for a new option began. And, although I like using really thin pen eye liners (or gel ones) on others, I am very particular about the ones I use on myself.
And it is a good liner, I have nothing bad to say about it. I did enjoy using it on a daily basis. It stayed on for the whole working day without smudging (my eye lids are not oily), the liner was very easy to apply and it did not drag the skin.
I only wish it
I really love Revlon lip products, and finally got around posting about their ColorBurst Balm Stain. I wanted 010 Chérie since I first saw the promo photo of it and, finally, got it this December. And, here is a review, at last…
ColorBurst Balm Stain is, as the name suggests, a creamy balm that feels nice and non-drying on the lips, gives a beautiful glossy finish, and fades to a light rosy stain after a while. Honestly, for the price, I can’t think about anything that I dislike. Maybe only the minty scent, but it fades after some time.
As for the colour – Chérie is a
Believe it or not, but this is my first Revlon Lip Butter. I.Know. Right?
I have chosen the shade called Sorbet which is a lovely cool-toned fuchsia pink. This is how I would describe it. London Makeup Girl suggested it for my ” Bright Winter” type and it was a great recommendation!
It is a beautiful colour that brightens up the whole look but is a really wearable shade, nothing over the top. It looks great paired with a bright pink blush and an eye liner or minimal eye makeup.
When it comes to certain makeup products – I always go for high-end. This is the way it was with concealer.
I don’t think that I ever had a cheap/affordable one. So after Lisa Eldridge (yes, I buy quite a lot of things based on her recommendations as I always know that it’ll be a great product) said that Revlon Colorstay Under Eye Concealer is nice – I though I’d give it a try.
So I’ve got myself one in Light which was £7.5. So this is how it looks like
What about the quality?
I am a fan of Revlon’s matte lipsticks but if you find them too dry and you don’t like matte lipsticks in general you may like their Colorburst lipsticks.
I’ve read a lot of good things about these lipsticks so I’ve decided to try them out myself. I’ve got a lipstick in #20 which is called Baby Pink.
A lot of people love this design but I like the design of matte lipsticks so much better, although this one is ok.
Baby Pink is a shimmery pale pink. I really like this shade and this is my type of “nude”. I usually use my finger after I’ve applied it, as I find it a bit too shimmery and mettalic-y for my taste.
I like the texture of the lipstick, although I can’t say that it’s super moisturising, it’s not drying although it can enhance dryness of your lips (it’s winter after all).
Here I’ve tried to make some swatches with the flash and without it
