Autumn Beauty Empties

I have a new rule when it comes to beauty products, one out – one in (ok, maybe more than one in)! Meaning that I am allowed to buy new beauty products only after I finish some from those that I already have. This is why I get a bit excited when I see a new empty bottle in my bathroom.

I actually have some new items on the way to me, as I type. Can’t wait to try my them all!

I know that it’s not the end of Autumn yet, and there are still three weeks, but I have big doubts that I will finish anything else by the end of the month.

And by the way, here are Summer Empties. I’ve decided to do such features every season.

Autumn beauty empties body creams and bath oils makeup4allI really love  bath oils,  so, since  I’ve used up two of my favourites Lavera Organic Wild Rose Bath Oil  and Cowshed Lazy Cow Soothing Bath & Body Oil  to the very last drop – I’ve already ordered some new ones, which are on their way to me.

Since I have very dry skin, I have to use body moisturizers, sometimes more than once a day, so I go through them quite quickly and this month I have finished the following products:

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter. I think these butters don’t need any introduction and explanation, they are fantastic. This particular one was a present from the boyfriend which made even more special.

Aromatherapy Assosiates Enrich Body Serum. I never used a body serum before, and was excited to try such kind of product, as it makes sense to use serums/oils on the body before a cream just, as you would on the face. It works! Plus, as

Shower & Bath Products Of The Week. Vol 2

This is the second installation of “what’s in my shower”, you can see the first one here.

I like to rotate my products, so here is what I’ve been using a lot recently. I am not going to repeat myself, so if you want to read about all the products in details, just click on the links!

 Hair

I am still loving my Davines Alchemic Shampoo in Chocolate Brunette, one of the best I have tried. You can read my thoughts about it here.

Body Washes

A good scrub/exfoliator is a must have in my opinion, so I have several in my “collection”, these days I have been using Elemis Tranquil Touch Body Polish most if the times.

Clarins Bath and Tonic Concentrate smells like the scrub from the brand that I love a lot, very refreshing and energizing, I love using it after I work out or in the mornings.

I have already used up the fantastic Korres fig body cream but still have more than a half bottle of the shower gel, it smells amazing!

Of course, there is a L’Occitane’s Almond Shower Oil Review which is a cult product for a reason. And Apivita’s Gentle Cleansing Gel for the Intimate Area, a very lovely gentle product.

Body Moisturizers

When I want a good and rich body moisturizer that, as a bonus, smells to die for, – I always reach for my The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter, one of my favourites.

When I want a light lotion that doesn’t have a strong scent – I go for L’Occitane’s Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Lotion.

And what products do you like using these days?

I think 2012 was a year of hair care for me, I have been going to the hair dresser regularly, bought vitamins and invested in good hair care products.

This is why you have been seeing reviews of hair products more often. And, in fact, I want to tell you about yet another shampoo today.

Although I love when my hair is very dark, almost black, I have stopped colouring it about two years ago and don’t really experiment with hair colour anymore… This is why I thought Davines Alchemic in Chocolate Brunette Shampoo would be a good option for me.

Davines is an Italian hair care brand, their Alchemic shampoo comes in four colours and enhances the colour of your hair, natural or coloured.

I absolutely adore the “pharmacy” looking bottle, the style of the bottle and the pattern on it makes me think of Great Gatsby for some reason. This product does look very cool on the bathroom shelve!
