Sedona Lace Smoky Eyes Eyeliner Gel Review and Swatches

I did a  feature about Sedona Lace’s brush belt, which is absolutely amazing, some time ago. I have actually bought one of their gel liners ($5.95) back then and would like to tell you about it, as well. I guess it’s better late than never.

I’ve chosen their Eyeliner Gel called Smoky Eyes which turned out to be a pretty grey shade. And I think it’s a perfect one, not too dark but not too light or blue, the colour payoff is excellent, too,  as the liner is nicely pigmented. I really like how it looks like with my brown eyes.

Beauty Inspiration: Makeup at Gucci by Pat McGrath

I have been really loving the Gucci makeup from the last several years, it is definitely among my favourite looks.

Classic red lip with beautifully groomed eye brows and minimum eye makeup at SS 2011, dark berry  matte lip with clumpy eye lashes at  AW11.

Super intense glossy smoky eyes, bleached eye brows  and perfect contouring  at  SS12 or bleached eye brows, minimum mascara and glossy berry mouth at AW12.

For SS 2013 Pat created a look with a perfectly glowing skin with beautiful highlighter,  nude lips, soft brown eye shadows and two pairs of false lashes.

I personally can’t wait to see AW13 makeup look.

Beauty Inspiration: AW Trends in Makeup

I am really loving the looks from the new Harrods Magazine, each is very inspiring and truly beautiful. All makeup is by Stephen Dimmock.

Glossy eyes and vampy lips = perfection! I would totally wear such look, maybe just with less intense lips not to scare people, heh..

Graphic blue eye  is truly gorgeous!

I love the

Breaking the Rules in Makeup by Kay Montano

I’ve discovered these videos thanks to Modesty Brown and, although I’ve already shared on my Twitter page, I had to make sure that you all have seen them, as they are amazing.

Unfortunately, I don’t know the original source of the photo

I love them both so, SO, much, very inspiring. The looks are created  by the talented Top Make-Up Artist Kay Montano for Because London website. They are about breaking the rules in the makeup which is fun!

And here are two more videos. One more about breaking the rules and one that was made by Kay for Chanel which I liked as well.

Rave:Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil Review and Swatches of All Shades

I’ve wanted to get some Bourjois eye liners for quite a long time and this week I’ve finally managed to do it! There were so many different types and colours that I just had to get 2 of them.

And one of them was Bourjois Effet Smoky Eye Pencil.

Here is what they say:

“Double-tipped eyeliner to smudge for a perfect every day smoky look! A smoky look available in 5 deep and intense shades achievable in 2 simple steps: 1) Outline the eye with the pencil 2) Smudge with the brush Its soft, easy-to-blend tip glides along the lashline for an intense outline in one stroke. Its ultra soft brush made of natural bristles perfectly smudges the formula. The result: a subtle but incredibly sexy smoky look in just 2 steps!”

There are 5 shades available:

(description of shades are mine obviosly)

  • 71 Smoked Brown – the most beautiful  dark chocolate brown with shimmer, it reminds me of my HG Benefit shadows only a bit darker.
  • 72 Dark Purple – gorgeous dark purple with shimmer, it looks amazing in the sunlight.
  • 73 Deep Green – Deep Teal would be a better name for this shade, it’s a deep teal with blue/green undertones, amazing when blended.
  • 74 Grey Shadow – quite a dark grey, the most shimmery shade out of all 5.
  • 75 Intense Black – intense matte black.

I have to say that I loved all the colours a lot but I had to calm down and pick one so I’ve got #73 in Deep Green because that’s the most unique shade out of all (in my opinion). But this doesn’t mean that I won’t get more shades 😉

So what are my thoughts about the product?
