Clarins Sunkissed Makeup Collection for Summer 2017

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils (£19.50) were a huge success when they first launched back in January 2015, and the brand is bringing out four brand new shades for this summer! I actually have a review of one of the oils, so you can take a look.

All of the new shades are permanent!  And they are: Candy, Tangerine, Mint (contains menthol and is effective for plumping the lips) and Honey Glam (with glimmering flecks of gold).  Each lip oil contains nourishing hazelnut oil, mirabelle and organic jojoba oils.

Besides the oils, there is also a seasonal summer collection:

Bronzing & Blush Compact, £30

Embossed with a botanical palm motif,  three matte bronze shades and an iridescent coral blush. The bronzer from last summer was so incredible, I love it, some of my girlfriends purchased it, as well as some readers, and  I’ve heard nothing but

SS17 Trend: Highlighters

I have posted about some new highlighters a while ago, but this trend is not going anywhere, in fact, it is becoming even more popular. Here are just a few more new highlighters (and new shades from Dior), but there are many more new, and cult favourite, options on the market right now.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter, $44 from Sephora

“A lightweight, coconut-infused gel highlighter that can be applied to skin directly or added into foundation or primer for a universally flattering glow, formulated with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to help hydrate and nourish skin.”

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter, $30 from Sephora

“Liquid-to-powder formula, Love Light takes the best of powder, liquid, baked and cream formulas to create unparalleled color payoff for a pearl radiance and silky smooth texture. It features a luminosity boosting agent and high pearl consistency that instantly brightens.”

There are three shades to choose from and they give some

SS17 New Lip Products: Dior, Gucci, Burberry and Kevin Aucoin

Last week I’ve spent several hours re-organizing my lipsticks: sorting out what to give away, coordinating what is left colour-wise, getting out the shades I should use more often and making a wish-list of what I want to check out. And don’t we all want new lip products for Spring?

Here is a selection of some new products that you can check out. And oh my goodness, those Gucci and Dior lipsticks look incredible! Mostly because, to be honest, I am kind of tired of those matte opaque lipsticks, gimme all the shine and gloss.

Dior Addict Gel Lacquer £26.50 from Selfridges and $35 from Bergdorf Goodman and Sephora.

Described as  the new-generation lacquer stick which are as easy to apply as it is to wear.  You get colour and comfort of a lip balm, it also promised about 6 hours of wear. Dior lipsticks are amazing so I expect a lot from this one. There are tonnes of shades to choose from, even a blue one.

Gucci Butterfly, Sheer Lipstick, $40 from Saks and Neiman Marcus

“Creating a dewy, fresh look, Gucci Sheer Lipstick’s light creamy formula glides on evenly and smoothly to the lips, moisturizing while infusing with a semitransparent color.” Those colours look so

SS17 Highlighters: NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier and BECCA

Don’t we all want to glow for Spring? Luckily the brands got us covered with their newest releases. There are new highlighter palettes and individual shades.

Laura Mercier Lightstruck Prismatic Glow Palette  $52 from Sephora

I remember how I was dying to get LM Bonne Mine palette ages ago, and this one has a similar concept but the packaging is so much more prettier, those pastels! The Prismatic palette contains lightweight, sheer, and blendable cream highlighters that give you the desired glow.

Here are some tips:

  • For a discrete warm glow base, apply Aurora all over the face, cheeks, and eyes.
  • For a refined glow, layer Reflect or Prism to add a chic sheen to your skin.
  • For a special-effect glow, layer Beam or Ray to impart an iridescent reflection or wet-like dewiness.

NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette  $49 from Sephora

This palette features three highlighters (0.11 oz/ 3.4 g):

  •  Rivage (glistening pearl)
  • Salé (shimmering peach champagne)
  • Embruns (metallic rose gold)

BECCA, a brand well-known for their base products launched a new primer, and

SS17 Lip Products: Bobbi Brown, BITE and Chanel

After all those matte and opaque lipsticks which we all wore in AW, so many brands are launching new lipsticks with glossy textures and lip glosses for Spring! Watch this space…

Here are just a few new releases, but expect to see many more.

Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss, $30. Chanel is available from  NordstormBergdorf GoodmanNeiman Marcus, Selfridges, Harrods and   Chanel’s website.

I am personally a big fan of Chanel glosses and have quite a few Glossimers, so I am excited to try the new ones. Coco Glosses are described as  hydrating and with an intense shine. There are 24 shades in different finishes: iridescent, lacquered and opaque.

Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip, $28 from Sephora

“Super-pigmented, squeezable
