Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liners Jackpot Set. Was it Worth Getting it?

I wrote about the Urban Decay Jackpot 24/7 eye liner set a looong time ago, back in September 201o. Since than I knew that I had to get it.

What for and why?

Well, it was only $39 and I though it was a great value for so many colours. And no, I don’t really need this set for my personal use, as most of the days I would just use my brown Lancome or Daniel Sandler  eye pencil.

I have to say that it was so hard to find it. I was misinformed that this set won’t be available in the UK and EU. As it turned out, it WAS available in the EU but when I found that out, the set was almost sold out. I was trying to track it down for ages and, unfortunately, the brand wasn’t very helpful when I was asking several times where I could buy it.

Finally I’ve made up my mind to get it from the US. So  my friend got it for me this May. I got it because I was getting other things, not on its own.

Excuse me for such a long introduction but I just had to share.

Here is how the mini-pencils look like compared with the travel and

Urban Decay Black Palette Review and Swatches.Love It.

Ok, I’ve been meaning to write this review for ages. I’ve actually bought the Black Palette palette just after this post which I’ve written back in September.

While almost everyone was crazy about the Naked palette ( it’s nice but to call it the ultimate palette, are you serious?!) and a lot of people were crazy about the NYC palette (which I actually got but don’t even use; read my review + swatches)  I was in love with the Black Palette. Some people who’s opinion I trust didn’t like it that much so I  had some doubts for a while but then I’ve decided to go ahead and buy it.

You know, black is my favourite colour and I also love silver but for some reason I have very mixed feelings about the package. But I guess I can’t complain because I’ve got 6 eye shadows, eye liner and primer for £23. I guess I’d love it as a teen but now I want something more elegant…

You know what?! I wasn’t disappointed! It was just what I was hoping for. I really loved  5 shades out of 6. The only one which was a  miss for me  –  the green one which is called Libertine. Not that it’s bad, it’s just not as defined as the other shades and you can’t really tell that it’s green when it’s applied on the eye lids.

The other shades are really pretty:

  • Black Dog- matte black
  • Barracuda – black with silver
  • Jet – black with purple
  • Sabbath – black with blue
  • Cobra – black with gold
  • (Libertine – black with green)

The quality of the eye shadows is

Urban Decay NYC Book of Shadows Vol III. Review and Swatches

At last I am writing a review about my NYC palette which I got 3 weeks ago from Debenhams for £30 and which you can now get at Sephora.  I already have BOS II and Alice palette. The only one that is missing is the original BOS palette.

This is how it looks like and, unfortunately, it got even bigger than the last palettes.

Here is the list of shadows and the description of the palette.

This is how it looks like inside

Zero, Bourbon and Flipside 24/7 Liners by Urban Decay. Review and Swatches

Today I would like to tell you about one of my favourite eye pencil – 24/7 eye pencils by Urban Decay.

By the way, their Fall 2010 makeup collection is already available 😉

I have quite a few different shades but today I will tell you about my 3 most favourite. As you can see, they all are mini size because I love mini sized better. Although I do have some regular sized 24/7 liners.

The shades that I love are:

Zero – creamy black shade

Flipside -vibrant teal with shimmer

Bourbon -brown with golden glitter

Why Do I Love These Pencils?

  • They are so creamy and it’s very easy to use them.
  • The name 24/7 speaks for itself , they really last forever. One of the best eye liners, I can compare them only with MUFE Aqua Eyes.
  • I love the ingredients: Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Cottonseed Oil.
  • There are a lot of shades that you can choose from and  UD often makes
