The newest release from Dolce & Gabbana is the perfect example of a summer collection. And while I probably won’t rush out to buy that yellow cream eye shadow, mostly because I already own some. But it just puts you in the mood for summer, and yes, somewhere in Italy (which I probably will do, can’t wait!). But that bronzer! And those orange lipstick, blush and nail polish, too.
Just take a look at these beauties. Here is also a shot from the Fashion Week.
The products are:
Intense Nail Lacquer, £21/$27
Turquoise, Orange, Yellow and Turquoise
Perfect Mono Cream Eye Colour, £27/$37
Turquoise and Lemon
Classic Cream Lipstick, £27/$34.50
For those of you who don’t know – YSL are launching the new version of their quints, and you can take a look here.
But today I want to tell you about one of their duos – YSL Ombres Duolumieres Jaune Ardent/Bleu Torride, and this lill’ palette is just perfect for summer, as you get a blue, and a yellow!
Let’s take a look…
The colours are very beautiful, and are true to what you see in the packaging. You can get a sheer wash of colour, or build up the intensity by layering, using over primer or with a damp brush or sponge. The sponges that come on the palette are actually great for packing on shadows.
I personally love using the blue on top of any blue eye shadow with a lot of mascara, it looks great on brown eyes. Or with a damp thin brush an eye liner. Yellow could be used for a
I have got these eye shadows last May so I am not sure why I am writing about them only now. But it is better late then never. Rejoice lovers of bright summer makeup looks as this post is for you!
I have picked my shadows at US Sephora for $19 each (they cost £14.95 in the UK).
The shades that I have chosen are:
- Yellow 2 (matte brilliant yellow)
- Orange Coral Matte 5 (matte vibrant coral)
- Apple Green 91 (matte bright yellow green)
And I would love even more shades for e.g Neon Pink 75 (bright fuchsia pink), Turquoise Matte 72 (matte vibrant turquoise), Matte Blue 159, Purple 92 (matte brilliant purple) and many, many more.
I know that a lot of people are scared of such colours but there is no reason to be! I find that if the rest of your face is natural you can easily pull off any of the shades that I have. I love encouraging my friends to try bold colours and I would love to encourage my readers as well! After all, it is just makeup and you can always take it off!
This is how the eye shadows look like in the pans.
So now I will tell you about each shade in more details and will
So here is a preview of Inglot’s Spring 2011 and it looks like that yellow and green (as well as blue and orange) are going to be huge for the SS 2011. The eye shadows look like a lot of fun, I also like the lipstick. I assume that the other products are blushes and the highlighter/bronzer which also look nice.
The only thing which I don’t like is the eye makeup – I wish the lashes looked more natural and the image was not so much edited.
Speaking of Inglot, I’ve got myself some new products which I really like and can’t wait to show you, so stay tuned!
I already wrote some reviews about Inglot eye shadows but never wrote about their palettes. So what about them? The coolest thing is that you can choose how many shadows do you want and you can pick the shape, too! They have round and square shadows and you can get them in the set of 3, 5 and 10. You can also get lipsticks and blushes in different sets. Anyway, you can get everything you need at Inglot from false eyelashes to holographic lip glosses. But back to the shadows. I have different shadows from the brand but today I want to show you my set with 5 bright round shadows.
I’ve picked all the colours myself and I really love all of them. They don’t have names but do have numbers. So here are the numbers if you would like to get the same
