Long time readers know that I love my high-end eye makeup products. I have never been able to find anything from the high street which I would love as much.
But I’ve set myself an “under £20” target this time. And here are the results: two products under £20 which I really love.
Eye liner and a lot of mascara is my go to look, you can see it here.

My favourite beauty product over the holidays was definitely Illamasqua’s Ore pigment, a glittery bronze which is so-so gorgeous, I highly recommend. But, besides the shimmering eye shadow, I’ve re-discovered some of my festive-appropriate eye liners. And my top two were:
Rouge Bunny Rouge Quartz Eyeliner Devotion Ink in Tanzanite Essence (review and swatches)
Illamasqua Precision Ink in Wisdom (review and swatches)
They are just extremely beautiful. Both are easy to control, have a gorgeous sparkling effect and nice pigmentation. Wisdom is described as
Being a huge fan of eye liners (this is my favourite), I am happy to see new ones coming out. And it seems like angled gel, long-lasting eye liners in a “pen” form are the thing now. I have selected three options, and since I haven’t tried any – I’ve included official descriptions.
Smashbox Photo Angle Pure Pigment Gel Liner ($24 from Nordstrom)
“High-impact, richly pigmented liner, combines the intensity of a gel, with unique flexible tip with a versatile, angled shape lets you create any line from thin to thick. Its creamy formula glides on for a smooth line every time while staying put for 36 hours. The waterproof, transfer-proof gel won’t flake or fade and it dries instantly for a look that lasts.”

Hourglass don’t hunt the trends and don’t release endless collections every season but when they do bring out something, it is good.
Their newest product is the 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eye Liner, which is described as “an exceptionally thin, remarkably soft, and waterproof gel liner.”
What else do you need to know?
Rejoice the lovers of pen-form eye liners! I am personally a huge fan, and use this one a lot! Three brands are brining out their versions.
Givenchy released a Liner Couture Black which you can get from Harrods for £23.50. The tip looks very thin, so I assume that it should work even for a precise between-the-lash application.
Even though this post is all about the liners, I thought I’d mention the new mascara from the brand, as well – Givenchy Noir Couture Volume Black Taffetas, which you can get from Harrods for £23.50 or Sephora for $32 which is a volumizing mascara. I could get it only for the packaging. Seriously, the brand just kills it with their new design! The best. Period.
I also couldn’t be happier that my favourite Mariacarla is the face of the launch!
