Current Rose Scents Obsession: Jo Loves, Le Labo, Malin & Goetz
All of my close friends and family, and long time readers know my obsession with rose scented products. My absolutely favourite are Jo Malone Red Roses and Lush Rose Jam as seen here.
Here are my latest discoveries, with two of them being candles. Please bare with me as I am trying to describe the scents in more ways than just “I love it so much” . After all, I am no Tania Sanchez or Luca Turin.
Jo Loves White Rose & Lemon Leaves ( £55 from Cult Beauty) as seen on my Insta.
Jo Loves kindly sent me 2 ml samples of their fragrances when they’ve just launched, and, as you would expect, they are divine.
I would love to have this fragrance, as well now. It is light and fresh rose scent, and I think that a lot of people would enjoy it. It is simple, elegant and not overwhelming, just like all Jo’s creations. The lemon leaves bring a touch of zest-ines (I know it’s not even a word) and balances the rose well. I have a small candle but it throws enough fragrance to fill in even a
Spring 2015 Perfumes: Jo Loves and Jo Malone
Both Jo Loves and Jo Malone brought out some new scents for Spring.
I am really loving Jo’s new brand (Jo Malone is a part of Estee Lauder group now), and this new fragrance White Rose & Lemon Leaves sounds divine. I really want to smell it…
‘Just like a piece of porcelain, there is something so delicate about holding a rose in the palm of your hand. White Rose & Lemon Leaves combines the fragility of this beautiful bloom together with the familiar scent intensity associated with rose. This fragrance represents my most treasured and memorable moments.’ Jo Malone MBE
“Perfectly balanced with subtle strands of citrus and the softest cedarwood, this fresh, elegant Norma Jean white rose has a unique depth that increases as it warms and settles on the skin.”

Fall 2013 New Fragrance Launches: Rouge Bunny Rouge and Jo Loves
I already shared my impression about the original Rouge Bunny Rouge Fragrances but I am actually even more excited about their new collection – Provenance Tales.
There are three fragrances which come in beautiful dark glassed bottles and are marketed as unisex. That is right up my street!
Silvan
“Born from the joy of preternatural harmonies and infused with the forest’s mantle of wisdom and calm, Silvan blissfully simmers on the skin, being smoothly melded and beautifully refined. ”
Notes: aromatic juniper berries, sparkling grapefruit, guaiac wood, smoky incense, vibrant black pepper, patchouli, cedarwood.
Cynefin
“Flooding throughout the fragrance with the fizz and hiss of escaping vapour, Cynefin unexpectedly draws back the veil of the everyday to bestow an overwhelming sense of joy. ”

Jo Loves Pink Vetiver and Green Orange & Coriander Fragrances Review
I already did a review of the Jo Loves Mango collection, so it’s time to talk about the other fragrances from the line and this time it’s all about Pink Vetiver and Green Orange & Coriander.
These two may be my personal favourites. I am not a huge fan of girly, think uber fruity/floral scents, most of the time, so these are my cup of tea. Also, I think that both would smell amazing on men, at least I’d like a man to smell like that 😉
Green Orange & Coriander
Jo describes it as “soulful and sassy; marriage between green citrus and herb; incredibly comforting yet at the same time it evokes a real sense of passion and warmth”.
I totally agree, although it is citrusy, it is a warm citrus, uplifting and sexy at the same time. Would be a great scent to wear on a coffee date. I love pairing it with high heels and faux leather trousers.
The notes are:
- Top: Bitter Green Orange, Black Pepper
- Heart: Coriander Seed, Coriander Leaf
- Base: Green Oakmoss, Tonka Bean
Pink Vetiver
I have noticed that
Jo Loves Mango Fragrance Collection Review
I was very excited about the opportunity to try Jo Malone’s (the lady, not the brand) fragrance creations which are a part of her new brand JO LOVES.
So far there are eight scents to choose from and I have them all. I have been wearing them for some time now, thinking about the associations I have and asking other people about their thoughts… So it’s time to share my experinece and I will start with the Mango Collection.
Mango Nectar
It is a sweet fruity and juicy fragrance; it definitely smells like mango and apricots, I almost want to eat it. It makes me think of warm summer days, white dresses, long walks near the river and tasty deserts. I’d say this would be a great fit for young dreamy girls or ladies that like sweet fruity scents.
- Top: Bitter Orange, Pink Grapefruit, Mango Leaf
- Heart: Mango Nectar, Apricot Blossom
- Base: Jasmine, Musk
A Shot Of Oud Over Mango
I really loved this one and got a lot of compliments when I was wearing it. It is warm and feminine fragrance. I did not try that many oud fragrances, but this one is my favourite so far. It is not as sweet, as Mango Nectar but
