Clarins After Sun Shimmer Oil. Review

If you a regular reader, you know my obsession with shimmering body oils. I personally think that it’s a must have for summer.

Today I want to share about a really lovely one – Clarins After Sun Shimmer Oil.

Clarins After Sun Shimmer Oil review

Although, this is a nourishing oil, it feels light on the skin, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave the greasy residue.  It adds that beautiful glow thanks to the micro-pearls and evens out the skin-tone slightly.

Unfortunately,  I did not have a chance to use it after the sun (hopefully, yet) but it works great for my pale greenish/blueish legs anyway. It also adds extra healthy glow after the fake tan.

The oil has a

Omorovicza Gold Shimmer Oil. Review and Swatches

I wanted to get something luxurious for my body the other day and I’ve decided to try something from Omorovicza as I’ve heard nothing but good things about the brand.

I’ve decided to get a Gold Shimmer Oil which looks like this before you shake it well to mix the oil with the shimmer.

And here is how it looks like after…

This oil comes in a nice glass bottle with an elegant minimalistic design. As for the oil itself -it smells amazing (I think it’s mainly calendula), absorbs quickly and leaves the skin feeling moisturized, soft and smooth. It is a perfect product for summer as it gives an amazing glow on a tanned skin. I absolutely love  using it on my arms and legs, it gives a beautiful illuminating/ glamorous (if you prefer) effect.

Here is the list of the ingredients and extended information about some of them from the official website:

Summer Must Have: Shimmer Body Oils. 2019 Edition

I am a huge fan of shimmer body oils for summer and have been for a while.  Why? Simply because they make your skin look polished. And don’t worry, you will not end up looking like a greasy disco ball,  shimmer oil for your body is like highlighter for your face. It just makes everything look dewy and glowing, in a good way. Not to mention that it’s not only a visual effect, as the  ingredients in your oil will moisturise, soften and smooth the skin.

While I still remain a huge fan of Omorovicza, you don’t have to spend €70 on it, while it is worth it, in my opinion. So here are three body shimmer oils which caught my attention this summer.

One is brand new, one was around for some time, and the third one just got some new LE shades. Let’s take a look.

SOL DE JANEIRO Glowmotions, £35/ $35 (75ml ) from Cult Beauty and Sephora.

I really loved the Bum Bum cream so would expect these to be incredible, as well.  There are

Summer Must Have: Golden Shimmer Body Oils

Ever since I’ve bought my Omorovicza Gold Shimmer Oil, I can’t imagine a summer without it! This is like the best invention of the beauty industry. Shimmering body oils moisturize the skin and leave it glowing,  and simply beautiful. I always think of those images we see in mags with gorgeous models and “glossy” skin. Moreover, some of them are multi-purpose and can be used on face and hair, as well.

Also, even if you splurge on an oil, like I  did, it will last you for ages.

Golden Shimmer Body Oils Tom Ford NARS Clarins Michael Kors SS15 makeup4all

I totally recommend  picking one up this season, especially when there are so many options. Here are four that were released for SS15:

Tom Ford Shimmering Body Oil, $95 from  Bergdorf Goodman, BloomingdalesHarrods and Selfridges.

Clarins After Sun Shimmer Oil (£32/$32) from  Nordstorm,  or Selfridges. I actually have this one, so

Clarins Splendours Shimmer Body Oil

Shimmer oil is a must have for summer, in my opinion, as it enhances  the beautiful tan and gives body a sophisticated glow and illumination.

I am personally very happy with the Omorovicza Gold Shimmer Oil  have purchased some time ago.

And here is the newest offering in the shimmer oil department – Clarins Splendours Shimmer Body Oil.

It is described as a  non-greasy body oil which nourishes, softens and makes the skin as smooth, as satin. It is scented  with mandarin, grapefruit, Tonka bean and ylang ylang.

Sounds like a winner product to me!

The price is £38 for 100ml.
