BECCA The Showgirl Palette Review and Swatches

After showing you a preview of BECCA’s Halcyon Days palette for SS2011 I thought I’d show you the palette which I have and which is called Showgirl Palette (£ 55/€69/$65)

“Enchant and bewitch with the Limited Edition Showgirl Palette from BECCA. A scintillating confection of glamorous shades for eye, lips, and cheeks, this convenient palette offers everything needed to get oh-so-gorgeous.”

The Showgirl Palette contains:

  • Lip & Cheek Crème – Hollyhock (berry)
  • Nude Lip Gloss – Parisette (soft pink)
  • Eye Colour Wash – Tulle (misty lilac)
  • Eye Colour Wash – Charmeuse (mushroom beige)
  • Eyeliner – Emmanuelle (dark brown)
  • Dual ended brush – eyeliner/eye shadow brush combination

Now this is  a pricey palette but the quality is exceptional in my opinion and it is much cheaper than getting the BECCA products individually so I think it is worth the investment.

Let’s take a look at all the products separately now.

Lip & Cheek Crème in Hollyhock. I usually use this  product on the cheeks and I really like it. You only need the smallest amount of the product and it  gives you a beautiful healthy reddish glow which instantly brightens your complexion and makes you look healthier, great for when you are in a hurry.

Nude Lip Gloss in Parisette, now this is the kind of lip product that I love! The colour is perfect – pale pink which gives this lovely natural girly effect. It is not drying and I like how it looks like on the lips. I guess you can try using it on the cheeks, too. I just never did (yet).

Eye Colour Wash  Tulle and Charmeuse. Charmeuse is a nice colour for shading and for applying all over the lid, it gives a very natural effect. As for the Tulle, I hardly use it on myself as I am not really fond of such shades but I am sure that a lot of people would like it. And I totally  get the idea why this lilac shade is included in the palette.

Both eye shadows are easy to use and blend, so if you like natural makeup and don’t want to go overboard – these are definitely for you.

Eyeliner in Emmanuelle. Now this is what I love! It is a perfect shade for me as I don’t use black eye liner on a daily basis because I find that dark brown looks much better especially for the day time. Honestly, try dark brown instead of harsh black one day – it is amazing and looks more natural.

As you can see, you can’t really go wrong with this palette as the colours are so natural and wearable and the quality is amazing.  But if you like this Showgirl Palette – you should hurry as it will be discontinued soon!

Yes, BECCA, does it again!
