Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence Review and Face Swatches

So, after I’ve posted a preview of  Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence, it is time for a proper review.

So here are my thoughts about it:

Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence Review and Swatches packagingThe packaging is gorgeous, the product comes in a black cupboard tube with the signature RBR design. Te bottle itself is  a dark matte glass, the foundation comes with a dropper.

The price is almost €60 (€59) which seems really expensive for 15ml but, as the name suggests, it is an essence which means that it is a very concentrated liquid. You need a tiny drop for your face, and it will last you for ages.

The brand describes the finish as demi-matte, and I agree. It gives that flawless coverage and evens out the skin tone perfectly. Just make sure you add some dimension back with a blush or whichever product you prefer.

Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence Review and Swatches 1Skin Soul Drop is not really an on-the go foundation. The application takes some time, and you can’t just “slap it on”. I like applying it with two brushes. A classic flat synthetic foundation brush (something like this one) to spread it out evenly and a kabuki brush (like Sigma) to blend it into the skin.

I personally think that

Inspiration of April: Ladies From Mad Men. Back to 60’s

Last month I asked on twitter what should I watch and most of you said that I should watch Mad Men. This is what I’ve been watching this month and I have to say that I absolutely love it. I love the atmosphere of 60’s and the makeup of the girls of course.

I will not discuss the plot because maybe some of you haven’t seen it yet but I’d love to talk about it if anyone would like to 🙂

I can’t stop admiring the girls makeup and I found some information about it at one of the website dedicated to Mad Men. So enjoy the photos and details about makeup! All the products mentioned in the answers are by MAC Cosmetics.

Joan Holloway

Always put together, very sassy and sexy.

What are your key products for creating the makeup looks for the main female characters?

Joan Holloway: We do a heavier eye on Christina, so the key products would be eyeliner and strip lashes.

What are your favourite MAC products for each character?

Joan Holloway: Cream Colour Base in Virgin Isle, Fluidline in Blacktrack and Rich Ground, and Eye Shadow in Soft Brown.

Betty Draper

Although she is a housewife she is an ex-model, so her makeup is clean but very current for the period.

What are your key products for creating the makeup looks for the main female characters?

Betty Draper: Betty has two distinct looks, her at-home look and her going-out/evening look. For home she is very natural, basically a sheer foundation, think black eyeliner and mascara. Evening Betty goes a little thicker on the liner and a brighter lipstick, but always coordinated with her clothing.

What are your favourite MAC products for each character?

Betty Draper:

BECCA Mineral Face And Body Sunscreen SPF 30+ and Mineral Tint SPF 30+ Sunscreen

Being a huge BECCA fan, I am very excited about their new sunscreen products.  I love BECCA face products with sun protection so I will be definitely trying these, too. Especially I’d love to try the mineral tint. By the way, I really love the colour of the packaging, very summery.

MINERAL TINT SPF 30+ SUNSCREEN

‘ High-performance, zinc-oxide based sunscreen for the face offers broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 30+ protection and harnesses BECCA’s famed colour matching expertise to create beautifully tinted shades -Light, Medium and Tan skins.

Nude Nail Polishes: Dior, Ciate, butter LONDON, Yves Rocher, Rimmel and MeMeMe

For someone who is not exactly into “nude” nail polishes, I have quite a few. I have chosen seven which could fit the nude/taupe/brown-ish category.

So what shades do I have? And which is my favourite?

Nude Nail polishes Dior, Ciate, MeMeMe, butter LONDON, Yves Rocher,Rimmel

Dior Vernis in Grege

I love the wide and thin brush which makes the application super easy and fast.  It is a beautiful warm shade which suits me when I get some tan. But if you have a light-to-medium warm skin tone – this may be a perfect nude for you.  See it applied on the nails.

MeMeMe Long Lasting Gloss in Alluring

This is one of the darkest nail polishes from the selection, and should be a nice nude for people with darker skin. Or if you want a brown nail polish against the light skin.  The quality is nice for the price, too.  Swatches.

Nude Nail Polishes Dior MeMeMe Yves Rocher

Yves Rocher Nail Polish in Taupe

This is definitely not a nude, but a taupe.  Such shade was super popular several years ago and I can totally see why: it goes well with pretty much everything and doesn’t compete with your outfit or accessories. Manicure with it.

MeMeMe Long Lasting Gloss in Ambitious

It looks like that
