October 2014 Beauty Favourites

I love writing Monthly Beauty Favourites posts, they make me analyse what products I used the most, and loved the best. I am also always happy when you find a good product through my recommendations ūüėČ

Not gonna lie, October was a rough month for me, a lot of stress and lack of sleep. Most of the time I don’t bother with a good base that much, but this month I was constantly “rocking” dark circles, horrible skin-tone and even some breakouts. I just looked very tired in general.

So to imitate the “I-am-doing-great-thanks” skin I was using my favourite Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector by BECCA all over the face as a base to give me some glow. Since I have very dry skin, it did not look greasy or shiny on me, in fact, I loved the effect.

Then I followed with ¬†Clarins’ Tinted Moisturizer, which is one of my favourite products for face, ever. Read the review to find out why it is that special.

If you read this post, you probably know that I have been ignoring the blushers lately.  So, of course I had to include

May 2014 Beauty Favourites

It’s time¬† for May¬† beauty favourites! It was very hard to narrow things down but I’ve managed to, almost.

This month I was away for two weeks (one week at one place, and then another one – different one), but I always had Elemis Skin Brush (review) with me, and I’ve used it religiously.¬† I personally use it on the dry body, brushing towards the heart.¬† The results are amazing, but you can read all the dets in my review linked above. I have two Elemis brushes, because I just had to! And I would definitely recommend you picking one up.

shu uemura Eyelash Curlers (review). I use these curlers every single day without a fail. Without them, my makeup is just incomplete, and my lashes don’t look that nice. A must-have for everyone.

I did take a picture of only ten products on purpose, so that I don’t go on and on in this post. But I just have to mention this Rouge Bunny Rouge brush, it’s my staple now.

October 2015 Beauty Favourites

October is one of my favourite months and I am kind of sad that it is over already but it was a great one despite the fact that I was ill for over a week.

I’ve decided that before talking about my beauty favourites, I’d mention some other things I like/enjoy:

  • I’ve finally went to my first swimming class after planning on going for months. Since I’ve got sick the next day I haven’t been back yet but I will be. Next week.
  • Downton Abbey. That 1920’s style…And I refuse to accept that it’s the last season.
  • Since I was ill for a week at home, I’ve got time to read and it was wonderful. I was mostly reading cultural and philosophical articles (yeah, I do love such topics) but here is my reading list.
  • And finally – Pinterest. This has to be my favourite social media, I am always browsing/pinning/saving photos.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Alluring Rose (review and swatches)

This is probably my favourite launch of the year. Seriously, I could not love these blushes more than I do, and I feel like I have been going on, and on about them. They have the creamiest and softest texture, blend beautifully and have that all-in-one effect. ¬†You don’t really need any highlighter or sculpting, just this. And

Aromatherapy Associates Revitalising Face Oil. Review and Photos. Rave

After not very successful experiments with face oils I’ve decided that this kind of product is probably not for me, although I have very dry skin.

But I’ve decided to give the Aromatherapy Associates Revitalising Face Oil a try since I am a huge fan of the brand.I was hoping that it would not disappoint…

I have been using it for over a month every day and you can see how little I’ve used

This particular product (they have several face oils) is created for sensitive, mature or dry skin. It contains rose, frankincense and borage. ‘Frankincense has been prized for centuries for achieving rejuvenated and firm looking skin, whilst rose is cherished for enhancing skin radiance, and borage for smoothing the skin’s appearance.’

September 2015 Beauty Favourites

It’s time for monthly favourites! And this time I’ve decided to mention only those products that I have been really loving. Somehow I have re-discovered¬†17 Sheer Moisture Foundation¬†which is now discontinued but which has been my base of choice lately, as it gives that beautiful light and glowing finish.

The other product  which is not shown is Garnier HandRepair Intensive Restoring Hand Cream because I have used it all up. And, just like the body cream, this one is brilliant.Works wonders on my very dry hands and feet, it improved the condition [of my skin] dramatically, moisturized and nourished.

Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in 738 Royal Plum (review and lip swatches)

I have an old version of the lipstick but I will have a few samples of the new Joli Rouge to review and compare them for you. This is an amazing product! The sheer formula can be built up,  or worn as a barely-there stain.  And this the most beautiful dark plum, looks gorgeous on the lips, have been wearing it non-stop.

The only other makeup product is the new Rouge Bunny Rouge Naked Disguise Glide Concealer.¬†And this, without a doubt, is now one of my favourite concealers ever. The texture is light ¬†but at the same time it transforms the under eye area by brightening and covering the dark circles. It doesn’t look or feel heavy and doesn’t set into the fine lines. I like the brand’s description “your skin but better”, and I agree.
