SS17 Blushes: Gucci, byTerry, ArtDeco and Benefit

Here is a preview of some really cool new blushers which were launched for SS17, and I have  chosen quite a good selection: middle-priced cushion blushes, luxury Gucci blush with a ladybug, and two kinds of palettes.

I am personally very interested in ArtDeco Cushion Blusher, €19.95 from Douglas, and will definitely be checking out the bronzy shade in person. These are promised to have a silky smooth texture and a soft shimmering effect. Without parabens, perfume and talc. The shades are: 2 – paradise parrot, 4 – tropican tucan  (not shown) and 6 – bamboo bronze.

Benefit Cosmetics Cheek Parade, $58 from Sephora

The brand is famous for their  cheek palettes, and this time the combo is: 0.17 oz/ 5 g GALifornia (sunny golden pink blush), 0.28 oz/ 8 g Hoola matte bronzer (matte natural bronzer),  0.28 oz/ 8 g Hoola lite matte bronzer (matte natural light bronzer),  0.17 oz/ 5 g Rockateur (rose gold blush),  0.25 oz/ 7 g Dandelion (brightening baby pink blush) and Mini Powder Brush.

Shower Oil: A Winter Must Have?

I have very dry skin so I have to give it extra love in winter.  Here are some tips from my dermatologist on how to take care of winter skin which really helped me.

Although it was a while ago, I am still using the Weleda soaps, after the calendula,  I had a rose one and am using the  lavender one now.

But what about the shower oils? We all know the cult favourite  L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (review) and I also wrote about the Yves Rocher Oriental Shower Oil  (review) which I love.

However, there are so many new options on the market these days.  Here are just  two of them, which I’ve picked up a while ago.

Favourite Beauty Products Of 2012: Makeup

Before I start, I have to say that it was very hard to narrow my list  of favourite makeup products of 2012 but I’ve tried my best.

Let’s take a look at what I’ve chosen…

Face

Benefit Erase Paste

I don’t really use concealer on a daily basis, unless I have a new, really bad spot,  I just use Touche Eclat under my eyes and that’s all. But if I had to choose my favourite “concealer” type of product – that would be this one. It is a creamy peach corrector which works great for the  dark under eyes circles. I had a review of it but because of some tech problems, it was deleted, need to re-write it soon.

Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20

One of my favourite face products you can read the details why here. If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Moisturiser Sketches on Water

This gives a very natural finish and light coverage and you can’t see it on the face, at all! Miracle for dry skin in cold weather, as it doesn’t enhance any dry patches.  See all the shade available here.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer

It is a very nice foundation that gives a dewy finish so works great for my dry skin. The shade Porcelain is a great fit for fair skin and works for me in AW, in SS, I use the second lightest shade – Beige. Plus it comes with concealer which is a great deal for the price. Want to know more?

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl

This product probably doesn’t even need an introduction. It’s the best highlighter out there, it gives a  very natural and beautiful effect.

Cheeks

Wow, I was able to choose only three blushers, although I was very tempted to add more of them.

BECCA Cream Blush in Amaryllis

My favourite blush for AW months, perfect cool toned and natural looking, gives a nice

Artdeco Long Lasting Liquid  Eyeliner in Black 01

Ever since Rouge Bunny Rouge changed the nib of my favourite eye liner, I am on a hunt for a prefect replacement, as it was the one I used pretty much every day. This time I’ve got the ArtDeco one, and it looked almost identical on-line, but unfortunately it is not in real life. However, it is a good one and I hope I will enjoy using it.

Orly Nail Defence Strengthening Protein Treatment

After a very bad experience at a nail salon (this is what happens when you cheat on your manicurist who works far from both your home and work) – I really need to restore my nails,  and this

Birthday Outfit and Makeup

It was my Birthday this weekend so I’ve decided to share with you what I wore and what makeup I’ve used. I don’t see Birthdays as a big deal (after a certain age, ha!) but it is always cool to dress up and spend time with friends and family.

Of course, I went for red with a touch of black, outfit wise. And here is the makeup I’ve used:

Vichy BB Cream, I need to buy a full size of it soon, it is an amazing light  base which gives some luminosity.  Rouge Bunny Rouge  Naked Disguise Glide Concealer which is brilliant for the under eye area. Inglot HD Sculpting Powder in 504 is my favourite for that natural looking shadow and theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer for some glow.

Lips and Nails

Surprisingly I’ve used a very affordable trio: NYX  Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania which I am obsessed with
