Benefit Cosmetics Dallas Box O’POwder Review and Swatches

The news about the  Benefit Ultra Plush glosses made me realize that I have never written about one of my favourite Benefit products, their Dallas Box O’POwder.

The brand describes this product as  ‘an outdoor glow for an indoor gal face powder’.  This is a beautiful dusty rose ‘blush’ with a touch of micro shimmer that instantly warms up your complexion.

I, seriously, should have taken the picture earlier when it was still  new. So I am sorry for that. Mine is  de-potted from one of the Benefit sets. But at least you can see that it is well loved by me.

Here is  how it looks like in comparison to Hoola, which is a matte bronzer. I keep my Dallas, among a lot of other products, in the Z palette which I love.

Benefit Cosmetics New Colour Line

Did you know that Benefit, the brand that I actually love a lot, is revamping the colour line?

They are bringing out new shades of powder and cream eye shadow in the new design.

And since their Creaseless Cream Shadows are among my favourites, I will start with those. They are already out in the US for  $20 and will be available here for £15.50/€22.50 from May.

Benefit left three best selling shades: R.S.V.P, Skinny Jeans and Birthday Suit. And here is actually my review of RSVP, old version.

It’s the same situation, price and availability wise with the brand’s new Longwear Powder Shadows. Only this time all the shades are new. Kiss Me, I’m Tipsy is such a Bene-style name and the colour should be beautiful…

As for lips, there are

Benefit Stay Don’t Stray Primer Review and Swatches

In the summer you have to make sure that your makeup stays in place and that’s were primers come to the rescue.

So today I want to show you one of my favourites which is Benefit Stay Don’t Stray. I have a mini version from one of the Benefit sets.

It is a nude primer which makes my eye shadows last for the whole day but I don’t really have problem with creasing anyway. I haven’t used it on the very oily eye lids, so can’t comment on that.

Plus it makes the colour look more vibrant and deep. But what makes it so special? You can actually

Face Of The Day. September 2013

Today I’ve decided to keep my makeup minimal, as I will spend most of my time (and money, le segh) choosing the items for my home makeover.

So here is the makeup that I’ve used:
Face Of The Day Rouge Bunny Rouge Benefit No7 Ellis Faas AnastsiaAnd there are quite a few Rouge Bunny Rouge products as I am currently working on one feature for them, I will let you know when it’s done, for sure.

Face

I’ve started with the brand’s Aqua Primer, it has a lovely light texture that smooths the face and doesn’t clog the pores. Then I have applied Benefit’s Erase Paste under the eyes which is brilliant for counteracting the blue tones. I have finished off with Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Flawless face Powder Precious Velvet in Piano Forte. It has a medium coverage and feels light on the skin. I don’t usually use powders but am experimenting with some at the moment.

To give myself some glow, I have dabbed Benefit’s High Beam  on the cheek bones, under the brow bone, above the upper lip and on the bridge of the nose.  From

Simple Face Of The Day: Pink and Purple

Today I wanted to keep it very simple in terms of makeup, it’s almost like the recent tag –  5 product makeup face.

I have used a very light base – BECCA’s Luminous Skin Colour which looks very natural on, as if you are not wearing anything, so it won’t cover any major imperfections. But it does even out the skin tone and  makes it [the skin] show through.

Then I added Daniel Sandler’s Watercolour Blush in Flush, which is one my my favourites, beautiful perky pink with light, non-greasy texture and long-lasting formula.  It’s perfect !
