What’s Inside My Mother-In-Law’s Makeup Bag

I have featured “inside my Mum’s makeup bag” a few times, and while I definitely have to post an updated version, I thought it would be fun to show which products my husband’s Mum uses. To be honest, I almost never read about celebrity’s makeup bags but I am always curious to see what family and friends love.

So here we go:

Just like my Mum, my Mother-in-Law likes a good base, a cheek/face product, a lipstick and a mascara. Just the shades are different, as they have a different colouring.

You can see two primers: No7 Colour Calming Primer (from Boots) and Clinique Superprimer Universal Face Primer (here).

Speaking of Clinique,

New In: Serums and Oils To Start The Year

Beginning of the year is a great time to invest in a new facial oil or serum, or better – both. I personally bought myself a rose oil from REN but here are three brand new products that you may be interested in.

And while some brands that were originally specialising in beauty are now launching skincare, brands that produce makeup  are now very much into launching skincare lines. Here are two examples – Bobbi Brown and Trish McEvoy. Laura Mercier launched a rose oil not a long time ago, too.

Bobbi Brown Skin Moisture Solution – Intense Rehydration Compound £29.50 from Selfridges and  $45 from Saks.

Bobbi Brown just launched Bobbi Brown Remedies line, just in time for 2017, and the product shown is “formulated for severely parched, uncomfortable skin, this Sodium Hyaluronate-infused solution works like a moisture magnet, instantly binding moisture to skin’s surface. The result is deeply moisturized skin that’s supple, never taut. Helps increase skin’s natural moisturizing factor-Helps restore skin’s optimal moisture levels-Minimizes tautness. A concentrated infusion of moisture featuring Hyaluronic Acid Complex to pull moisture to the skin and support skin’s natural moisturizing factor.”

SS17 Lip Products: Bobbi Brown, BITE and Chanel

After all those matte and opaque lipsticks which we all wore in AW, so many brands are launching new lipsticks with glossy textures and lip glosses for Spring! Watch this space…

Here are just a few new releases, but expect to see many more.

Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss, $30. Chanel is available from  NordstormBergdorf GoodmanNeiman Marcus, Selfridges, Harrods and   Chanel’s website.

I am personally a big fan of Chanel glosses and have quite a few Glossimers, so I am excited to try the new ones. Coco Glosses are described as  hydrating and with an intense shine. There are 24 shades in different finishes: iridescent, lacquered and opaque.

Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip, $28 from Sephora

“Super-pigmented, squeezable

Spring 2014 New Lip Products: Bobbi Brown, Topshop, MAC, Lancome and Illamasqua

Brands do spoil us with the new lip products launches,  as there are even more coming out!

First of all, I am personally very excited about the new Lip Lover lip lacquers by Lancome. Lancome lip products are among my favourites, and these do look promising. You can see how they look like on Lily Collins here. I did a RT of Alex Babsky’s makeup on her. These should be available from March.

I am also curious about the new Gloss Ink Lip Color £8/$16 by Topshop.

It is supposed to have a  high-shine finish of a gloss and the long-lasting color of a stain. The brand suggests that it can be worn over other products, on it’s own or blotted for a matte, stained look.  There are five shades, and I love  Cruel, pictured below.

SS17 Eye Shadows: Trish McEvoy, Bobbi Brown, theBalm, Rouge Bunny Rouge, Dior

As usual, I have selected the coolest new makeup launches, this time it is all about the eyes: eye gloss from Bobbi Brown, new version of Dior quints, nude everyday palette from Trish McEvoy and new variations of Rouge Bunny Rouge and theBalm already cult palettes.

Bobbi Brown Eye Gloss, £19.50 from Harvey Nichols and $28 from Barneys

“The liquid formula delivers a high-shine visual effect and never leaves lids sticky or tacky. Go fresh and glowy for day or sleek and polished for night”. I am really curious about these! The shades are: Beach Nude, Island Pink and Nude

Trish McEvoy Light and Lift Eye Pallete 2,  $59 from Saks

Gorgeous palette of everyday nude eye shadows and definers, they come in matte and glittery shades.

Dior brought out new mascara and
