It is better late than never, right? So here is finally a feature on my favourite beauty products of 2017.
Here is actually a look back on my 2015 favourites and 2016 Makeup Favourites. I am still obsessed with those products, by the way. And a link to my 2017 monthly beauty favourites. While in 2015 and 2016 I wrote about makeup only, this time it will be about beauty in general. I have chosen 17 products. Some of the products I loved the most were LE ( Clarins shadows, bronzers for e.g) so here are only those that are still available.
- Rouge Bunny Rouge SERENE LIGHT Skin Perfector
This is probably the product of 2017, and it was also in my 2016 favourites. I have been promising to write a detailed feature about it for a while now, and I will definitely do it in the near future. Basically this base gives you the most incredible glow, you get that polished and well-rested effect, dry skin’s best friend. It does not give that much coverage, as it is a primer, but I wear it without any foundation on top. Stay tuned for the photos.
I’ve hit the pan on this product, and will use it all up. I love how it is called bronzer/blush, and it is exactly that, it has a nice balance of warmth and reddish undertones. Perfect for adding colour and definition to your face. I love the texture, the formula an the pigmentation. The staying power is also impressive. See the swatch in the middle.
I am very picky when it come to eye liners, it has to be a very specific tip and formula for me to like it. And this Clarins one is absolutely incredible. The best purchase. The tip is
I did write about the bronzers and some new lip products that caught my attention this month, so let’s take a look at the eye shadows. By the way, I often post previews over at Makeup4all Facebook page, so you may want to give it a like.
First of all, how cool are the new Colour Queen eye shadows from L’Oréal. These are oil infused apparently, they will come in 36 shades. [Pic is from Val Garland’s insta]. I want that dark chocolate and red.
Earthy Canvas, Smoky Canvas, Coral Canvas and Rose Canvas. There are three finishes in each: metallic. glitter and matte.
Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara really caught my attention, and I’ve decided to buy one, without reading any reviews before head. I have also picked up the famous Phenomen’ Eyes to see for myself how it works. When I came home I saw that I’ve got the Noir Couture in Brown…
Yes, I have a new thing, taking photos of makeup with my books that is.
At first I wanted to exchange it but then I’ve realised that I have tried all kinds of mascaras from green and blue to purple, and even oxblood, but never a brown one, so it was about time [I did buy a brown mascara from Benefit ages ago but forgot about it, and it dried out].
First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate the
There are so many incredible new lip products out for SS18 so I have chosen three that really stood out to me.
Givenchy N°412 Grenat Alpaga (magnetic burgundy), BECCA Rose Quartz (cool pink with silver pearl)
“A long-wearing, soft velvet matte liquid lipstick encased in a twist up applicator with a convenient foam tip for precise application. Super-vibrant, whipped, creamy liquid colour, matte finish”.
If that is not the most gorgeous looking lipstick ever I don’t know what is then.
BECCA Glow Lip Gloss, $22 from Sephora and
I am very happy to share the newest Givenchy launches Le Rouge Givenchy and Les Vernis lines.
Although these products will be out only in February, I like them so much that wanted to share now. Mariacarla Boscono on the promos, black and red shades, leather and metal case – it’s like it was made for me.
I am just hoping that the design is as amazing in real life as it looks on the promos.
There will be twelve Le Rouge Givenchy lipsticks (£24/ €33)
These will come in leather and metal packaging. The lipsticks will have a velvet finish, light and creamy formula and intense pigmentation.
And guess what? Le Rouge will have a scent which was created by François Demachy and Nicolas Degennes – delicate and subtly powdery mimosa and blackcurrant notes.
All shades are divided into three groups: Les Naturels, Les Roses and Les Créations.
