Nothing says Christmas and holidays quite like the sequined/shimmering red lipstick so I’ve picked up a few new releases. Both sparkling reds and sequined packaging.
Lipsticks inspired by the cult Studio 54, long lasting, creamy texture, matte finish and sparkling packaging.
Pearl-infused sparkling lipstick, sparkling effect and no grit. The shade featured is Carnelian. There are 2 more.

I am currently away for two weeks, finally not for work, I can spend time with my family & friends and relax. I did not want to take a lot of makeup with me (mostly because I have too many other things), and since a lot of you are always asking what products I take with me (and I love similar posts myself), I thought I’d show you.
So here are very few products that I’ve packed for my personal use:
I don’t like taking full bottles of perfumes, so I have
It’s like only yesterday I was writing about my favourite makeup products of 2016, and today I am already sharing about the favourites of the first month of 2017. Where did time go?
And it feels like I am talking about the same things over, and over again but I do love those products. However, I did discover some new gems this month.
This is definitely my favourite oil of the moment, it works even for my extremely dry skin type, saves it from being flaky and itchy, and smells amazing. Finally, a product I love as much, as my other REN Holy Grail.
J. R. Watkins Shea Butter Hand Cream (from Amazon)
My fried got this one in America, and she told me how this is a very rich and nourishing cream, and it is. While some people find such textures to be too much for their taste, I am a big fan, the cream leaves the skin ridiculously soft and smooth. And smells of honey and coconuts.
Carmex Moisture Lip Balm (from Amazon)
Another present, this time from my lovely Farrah. This product does not need an introduction, it is a cult favourite for a reason. I personally love the
Here is a preview of the Spring 2014 makeup collection by Lancome called French Ballerine. Now, I am so not a fan of pink and girly, but even I find the promo image adorable. Gorgeous and feminine Lily Collins with flushed cheeks and rosy lips, with airy dress and beautiful flowers. What is not to like?
The star of the collection has to be Blush Highlighter (LE), £35. A pink blush with the signature Lancome’s rose with a fuchsia bow on top. Any young (and young at heart) girl will love this.
- Spinelle Rose
- Topaze Dore
Hypnôse Eye Palette, £37
Don’t we all want to glow for Spring? Luckily the brands got us covered with their newest releases. There are new highlighter palettes and individual shades.
Laura Mercier Lightstruck Prismatic Glow Palette $52 from Sephora
I remember how I was dying to get LM Bonne Mine palette ages ago, and this one has a similar concept but the packaging is so much more prettier, those pastels! The Prismatic palette contains lightweight, sheer, and blendable cream highlighters that give you the desired glow.
Here are some tips:
- For a discrete warm glow base, apply Aurora all over the face, cheeks, and eyes.
- For a refined glow, layer Reflect or Prism to add a chic sheen to your skin.
- For a special-effect glow, layer Beam or Ray to impart an iridescent reflection or wet-like dewiness.
NARS Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette $49 from Sephora
This palette features three highlighters (0.11 oz/ 3.4 g):
- Rivage (glistening pearl)
- Salé (shimmering peach champagne)
- Embruns (metallic rose gold)
BECCA, a brand well-known for their base products launched a new primer, and
