Here is a preview of Laura Mercier’s Spring Renaissance. The model is wearing a nude silk dress on the promo and the butterflies on the background look very pretty for Spring actually.
There are quite a few items in this collection , including a lot of re-promotes, so I have listed only the brand new products.
The star of the collection is definitely the Enlightenment Eye & Cheek Palette ($55/£42.50)
It includes four eye shadows and two blushers:
- Pure Glow, a beige eyeshadow, Grace, a mauve eyeshadow, Innocence, a light pink eyeshadow, Angelic, a light yellow eyeshadow.
- Blushing, a pink blush, Awakening, a pink blush.
The new eye products are two shades of
A while ago I did a feature on eye gloss and today I want to share about the extension of that trend which is 3-in-1 glosses. Glossy/glass skin has been a thing in Asia for ages now but we are seeing it in Western beauty trends now, as well. And I like it.
Here are just three products that were recently released which are specifically marketed for lips, eyes and face. While you can always use a good old Bobbi Brown Crystal Gloss why not playing with [hopefully] new textures?
Let’s take a look:
These are a part of the summer collection and come in 4 shades: Nomade, a perfect nude, Oasis a vivid rose, Laissez-Faire a clear shimmer or Dreamer a bronze shimmer.
Glacé Touch are promised to be a sheer, non-sticky gloss for dewy, high-shine glowing finish.
The looks below, which I found on Pinterest (still obsessed with it), will hopefully inspire you to experiment with glosses, as well.
Besides the lipsticks, the other makeup product almost every brand is bringing out for SS16 is foundation. And while cushions and foundations with the dropper (BECCA, Stila, Kiko Armani, Rouge Bunny Rouge etc) are having a real moment this season, “classic” foundations are still going strong.
And here are three that caught my attention with the official description:
Chanel LES BEIGESHealthy Glow Foundation (£36 from Selfridges)
“An invisible foundation that creates a natural healthy glow by giving skin the radiance of a day spent outdoors, while protecting it from harsh environmental conditions. The perfection of a natural glow. With a range of subtle, easy-to-wear beiges, CHANEL’s Healthy Glow Foundation frees women from their fears of using foundation and gives every skin tone a lasting healthy glow. The soft and comfortable texture glides over the skin and melts away. The texture becomes imperceptible and allows the skin to breathe freely, while protecting it from harsh environmental conditions. The complexion is evened-out and enhanced with a sheer finish.”
“Everlasting 16-hour perfection from morning to
Spring/Summer season beauty wise means new lip releases, so I’ve chosen the ones that caught my attention. It is insane how the textures and the formulas improve all the time and we get more sophisticated lip products all the time. Just take a look at these innovative gems.
A limited edition creamy matte lip powder trio with a metallic sheen. Comes with a moisturizing Base Balm to prep the lips. These look really cool, and I love the concept.
Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. The red ones sold out within a day(s) so I did not even have time to get any. But she promised a restock, and new nude and fuchsia shades (see below a pic of Eva wearing one of the new shades; pic is from Lisa’s Insta)! I don’t know the date yet.
BITE BEAUTY Outburst Longwear Lip Stain, $24 from Sephora
Bite beauty lip products are incredible, and it looks like it’s another great one
