A while ago I did a feature on eye gloss and today I want to share about the extension of that trend which is 3-in-1 glosses. Glossy/glass skin has been a thing in Asia for ages now but we are seeing it in Western beauty trends now, as well. And I like it.
Here are just three products that were recently released which are specifically marketed for lips, eyes and face. While you can always use a good old Bobbi Brown Crystal Gloss why not playing with [hopefully] new textures?
Let’s take a look:
These are a part of the summer collection and come in 4 shades: Nomade, a perfect nude, Oasis a vivid rose, Laissez-Faire a clear shimmer or Dreamer a bronze shimmer.
Glacé Touch are promised to be a sheer, non-sticky gloss for dewy, high-shine glowing finish.
The looks below, which I found on Pinterest (still obsessed with it), will hopefully inspire you to experiment with glosses, as well.
Here is a preview of three brand new eye shadows palettes which just launched, and all three are neutrals with cool, warm or rose shades, so there is something for everyone.
JOUER COSMETICS Springtime in Paris Eyeshadow Palette, £35 from Cult Beauty
I personally like the loom of this one the best. There are some really beautiful shades to choose from, there are 12 colours in general from cool toned neutrals to shimmering plums.
Too Faced Natural Love Ultimate Neutral Eye Shadow Palette, $59 from Sephora
This is the biggest palette with 30 shades which probably has every shade you possibly need (0.03 oz/ 0.80 g) Heaven (cream matte), Fairy Tale (champagne gold shimmer), Nudie (fawn matte), Tickle Me (mushroom shimmer), Don’t Settle (dark brown metallic), Fingers Crossed (deep gilded brown), Lace Teddy (soft peach matte), Satin Sheets (golden pink), Push-Up (light bronze pearl), Honey
When it comes to films and series, there are usually a lot of “Steal Her Style” features where the authors suggest what pieces you could buy to get a similar look to your favourte character, should you chose to do so.
But there are not enough articles which focus on beauty or makeup looks, if you ask me. And that is what I always pay attention to when I watch films/series. I actually wrote about the beauty elements of Gossip Girl, as well as Blair Waldorf‘s wedding makeup and Sex and The City already.
I also had a breakdown of the Pan Am looks straight from the Make-Up Artist.
So today I’d like to share about the makeup from the Big Little Lies. Here are the screens from the show when Celeste Wright was getting ready in
Here is a preview of NARS’ Spring 2013 makeup collection with an edgy promo image with Stella Tennant on the pink background.
There are eight products in this collection and two really caught my attention.
Duo Eye Shadows
- Mad Mad World, cyan and parakeet green
- Bouthan, soft pink tulle and bright pink with gold shimmer
- Persia, a matte paprika
Soft Touch Shadow Pencil
- Corcovado (LE), 24-karat gold sparkle
- Dressed to Kill Lipstick, fuchsia rose shade with gold shimme
Some collaborations are just meant to be, they are a perfect match. And NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg is one of them, in my opinion. Charlotte fits the concept of the brand perfectly, and this collection looks great. Let’s take a look.
Multiple Tint, $39 in Jeanette (Sheer berry), Jo (Light pink) and Alice (Poppy red)
Hydrating Glow Tint, $36 in Fair, Light, Medium and Medium/Dark
“Easy glowing. Fresh-faced perfection, right at your fingertips. This limited-edition formula, awakens dull skin and evens out tone with sheer, buildable coverage. Its weightless, refreshing gel-cream delivers foolproof, brush-free application.” This sounds dreamy.
Matte Lip Pencil, $26 in London Clinic (Soft rose) and Blindfold (Burgundy)
Lip Tint, $26 in Éphélide (Antique rose), Promise (Red plum) and
