April 2013 Beauty Wish List: Makeup, Skincare and Hair Care

Believe it or not, but it actually took me hours and hours to complete this list, as I had to think carefully about what products I really want or what products I actually need.

This is not really a wish list, but more of a shopping list of the products that I plan to buy in the near future. Of course, I could add more, but I’ve decided to be very strict with myself so every item got on the list after a lot of consideration and is very covetable…

So here  is the list!

Makeup

1. Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette, £26

I have almost finished my Benefit eye pencil and I am definitely getting an Hourglass one next.

2. Matte Eye Shadows Palette

I can’t decide if I should get the Too Faced Matte Eye Shadow Collection (£24.57 from Beauty Bay) or theBalm Meet Matte ($42 from the brand’s website, but they are in the process of creating a European shop, as well).   I actually really love the eye shadow quality from both brands: Too Faced Natural Eye Palette Review and Swatches, theBalm Nude Tude Eye Shadows Palette Review and Swatches and the Balm Shady Lady Palette Vol.2 Review and Swatches so that’s a hard one.  I only wish Too Faced palette weren’t so bulky. Maybe I should get both?!

3. Cream Blusher

That is probably the last thing that I need, considering how many I have but I’ve decided that I can get one, as a treat for myself. After a lot of consideration, I’ve chosen Stila’s Stila Convertible Colour (I actually can’t believe that I still haven’t tried it!) I think I’ll get Rose or Lillium (£15.12 from Beauty Bay)

Skincare

Now this is the category of the products that I need. There are a lot of skincare products that I want  and the list is endless but these

My Current Blush Wish List. September 2013

I love blush! This may be the most exciting makeup product for me, my beauty life was forever changed when I discovered it  and I never looked back.

It seems like I always have blushers on my wish list, so here are top four that I plan to get at some point in the near future. I could also add Illamasqua’s Velvet Blusher in Peaked and theBalm’s Long-Wearing Powder Staining Blush, too.

So, let’s take a look at my wish list, shall we?

I can’t believe that I still haven’t got a Bourjois blusher. I think I’d go for the shade No3 (other shades). That’s a great thing that high street brands are now releasing cream blushers, too. I hope these are as good, as my favourites from Max Factor.

Stila The Impressionist Makeup Collection for Spring 2016

To be honest, I did not pay that much attention when it came to  Stila in the past but recently things changed. I think the brand is killing it with the latest releases. Their Christmas collection was one of the best but I love the Spring  2016  products even more. There is nothing in this collection I wouldn’t want.

And The Impressionist name and blue background?! As someone who studied culture and arts at uni – I couldn’t love it more. What a perfect example of combining art and beauty, other brands should take notes. Also,  I am really loving the new improved website. The looks featured are just so beautiful. Sarah Lucero, Stila’s Global Executive Director of Creative Artistry is a genius, I tell you.

How, let’s take a look at the products:

Convertible Color Dual Lip & Cheek Palette – Sunset Serenade, $39/£29

A Week in Lipsticks

Recently I was talking a lot about lipsticks with some girls I work with, and this inspired me to wear a different shade each day for a month. I wear the same ones over, and over again but considering how many I have it was about time to change my habit.  So here are the ones I wore last week…

A week in lipsticks Makeup4all

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania (lip swatch)

I am obsessed with it, as you may know, I have to stop myself from wearing it every single day. It is the most perfect vampy (Hey, Drac! yes, I absolutely had to do it) shade.  Whenever I wear it – I am always asked about it. The formula is not too drying and can be applied evenly.  This is the most affordable product from the selection and there are tonnes of other colours in the line.

Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss in Boost (review and lip  swatch)

Technically this is not a lipstick but, as the name suggests, it is pretty intense when layered so I’ve included it, too. It smells of sweets, feels moisturising on and is the most unique shade out of these all, a violet with a blue base, so beautiful.

ArtDeco Soft Lip Liner Waterproof in #8  and Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Tesoro (review and lip  swatches). Wearing this combo on my Twitter profile photo.

This is my ultimate

SS17 Eye Shadows Palettes: Stila, Tarte, Viseart, LORAC, Kat Von D, Smashbox

Back in the days I was buying eye shadow palettes like there is no tomorrow but in the last several years I have stopped, and now I prefer quads, or even duos. I rarely use more than two shades on my eye lids anyway. But if you are, like my friend,  palette-crazy, I have selected some brand new releases for SS17.

Enjoy, and happy shopping!

Stila Matte ‘N Metal Eye Shadow Palette, $49 from   Feel Unique and Sephora.

Featuring six matte and six mega metallic shades: Vintage (Matte Pale Neutral Pink), Velvet (Matte Pale Pink), Feathered (Matte Pale Sand), Fringe (Matte Light Taupe), Suede (Matte Mid-Tone Mauve Pink), Velour (Matte Mid-Tone Warm Tan), Bohemian (Metallic Light Pewter), Retro (Metallic Rose Gold), Sequin (Metallic Gold), Smolder (Metallic Smoky Gunmetal), Sizzle (Metallic Rosy Copper) and Flare (Metallic Cool Bronze)

Lorac California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette, $30 from Ulta.

Just like the Stila palette, this one features 12 shades, matte and shimmer, each is inspired by LA: Button, Starfish, Cozy, Bonfire, Overcast, Bonfire, Hot Toddy, Cable Knit, Seaside, Sand Castle, Boots, Kitty Cat and 65 Degrees

Kat Von D Pastel Goth Eyeshadow Palette, $38 from Sephora
