SS16 Beauty Picks: Urban Decay, Lancome, YSL and Too Faced

With so many new launches, I’ve decided to highlight those that caught my attention, so here is a preview of the new products for the complexion, eyes and lips that I think look amazing.

Several brands, including BECCA launched colour neutralizing products, and YSL released their cult Touche Eclat (I adore it, BTW) in three colour correcting shades:

SS17 Trend: Highlighters

I have posted about some new highlighters a while ago, but this trend is not going anywhere, in fact, it is becoming even more popular. Here are just a few more new highlighters (and new shades from Dior), but there are many more new, and cult favourite, options on the market right now.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter, $44 from Sephora

“A lightweight, coconut-infused gel highlighter that can be applied to skin directly or added into foundation or primer for a universally flattering glow, formulated with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to help hydrate and nourish skin.”

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter, $30 from Sephora

Urban Decay Deluxe Eye Shadow in Heat. Review and Swatches

The first product that I have bought from Urban Decay was their Deluxe eye  shadow. Two deluxe eye shadows to be precise, black Zero and reddish Heat. Of course, red and black are my favourite colours.

I am actually surprised that I have never ever written about those as they are absolutely lovely. They are expensive compared to UD (but not  at all compared to other eye shadows) palettes but so worth it if you love the colour.

I also love that each eye shadow has individual design and a colourful label on the back. It also has a nice mirror inside.

So here is how Heat looks like in the pan. It’s a

Would You Get a “Tattoo” from Urban Decay?

Why, oh why, Urban Decay always makes things that I want to try? Now you can get their Body Jewelry Temporary Tattoos for $25.

They say you get  “3 full sheets covered with tons of unique designs, including chains, charms, UD symbols, sword pendants, feathers, exotic flowers, stars and more. Each hand-drawn illustration can be layered, mixed and matched together for a custom design that’s totally YOU. The options are endless, and with proper care, your tattoos can last anywhere from 2-5 days.”

I personally would never put any kind of logo on my body even if it’s only a temporary tattoo but I would love to try the stars and those black and white flowers (not impressed with those purple and red)

I like (and have and want more) tattoos so that would be fun to try these! And this is how they look like applied

Green Eye Shadows and Liners Swatched: From Lime To Emerald

Yesterday I was doing a makeup for a St. Patrick’s Party so I was going through my green eye shadows looking for the colours that I may use. So I thought I’d share those that I really like.

This is not a review post as it would take me forever to review each eye shadow but most of the shadows I already reviewed in the past.
