When I’ve heard that girls from Beauty Insider were working on Allure Russia, I knew that I had to get it! It is one of my dreams/goals to be fluent in at least five languages and Russian is already among those that I do speak.
It was not that easy for me to get the magazine but it was worth it, the content was interesting (they do tell negative things about the products, too) and there was also a sample of Chanel mascara.
It was Chanel Sublime de Chanel in 10 Deep Black.
Here is how the brush looks like
Unfortunately, drugstore mascaras don’t do that much for me, with the exception from Max Factor. I remember how I would save for my favourite 2000 Calories ages ago. And I still love good ol’ Max Factor when it come to mascaras. I think they do amazing ones.
First of all, it gives great volume. It has the same type of brush, as the famous False Lash Effect mascara, thick plastic with small bristles. My lashes are thin and short, and I can definitely tell the difference.
But that is not all! The most exciting part is the ultra black lacquer on the other side. From my experience
I have been wearing this mascara for around three weeks almost every week. And I am glad that I did not post my review earlier because I have changed my opinion about it from liking to loving a lot.
To tell the truth, it’s because I was expecting a mascara that would really make my lashes look purple… And it did not. But first of all, it is called intense plum, not bright lilac, so it was not supposed to be a bright lilac, as I was picturing it (I actually used to have such mascara in the past, so maybe this why I had such expectations).
Although the colour hardly showed on my lashes, it just did not look as intense as black and it was hard to say that it was purple, I kept wearing it. And I am happy that I did. You’ll find out why soon 😉
I love the brush a lot as it allows you to use it even on the shortest lashes which is great. And I also love the general effect of Instant Definition mascara: it is not very dramatic but not barely there ‘natural’ effect which I hate, it is just on-spot for an every day look. I don’t get a false lash effect but enough length and volume for me to like it and keep in my makeup bag, which is saying a lot, as I have so many mascaras. It does not smudge or
Remeber my post about the Diorshow new mascaras and eye shadow quads?
Turned out Dior team found out that I am a fan of Diorshow mascara and asked if I’d like to try out the newest one. So here it is.
It comes in a classic Dior design which I really like…
The first thing that you notice is the small rubber brush with an interesting design which looks like a brush for the bottom lashes (those are a big thing now).
It takes time to get used to it but, in my opinion, this is a great brush as it allows a very precise application and you can get great results from the roots of the lashes without making a mess. And it is great for lower lashes, too!
As for the general effect, I like it as well. I find that this mascara gives my lashes
Chanel’s Le Volume de Chanel Mascara is one of the best ones I have ever tried.
It does pretty much everything I personally want from a mascara. And what is that?
It is uber black, you get full-on lush blackest black lashes. It is called Le Volume for a reason – it does give a fantastic volume and impressive length. I don’t like a subtle effect from my mascara, I may, as well not wear it at all in that case. And this one is
