Nails Of The Day: Models Own Purple Blue

I have finally got my hands on one of the nail polishes from the Models Own Beetlejuice collection which is beyond gorgeous!

I really wanted to get four of them but decided to start with one colour and treat myself to others later. Why four and not all five? Emerald Green reminds me of my all time favourite Illamasqua’s Viridian and I don’t need two very similar nail polishes.

So I’ve picked Purple Blue which is such a gorgeous shade and I can’t believe that it was only £5! Models Own describe the shade as a ‘vibrant punch of fuchsia indigo’ and I would agree.  It is like a purple based polish with duochrome  indigo shimmer, absolutely

Nails Of The Day: A England Perceval

If you follow me on Twitter or like on Facebook you probably already know that I have finally made my first A England order.  By the way, I’ve started posting photos and info that on Facebook/Twitter that I don’t post here but still want to share…

There are two collections so far and I’ve decided to get one nail polish from each collection. So I have got Perceval from The Mythicals and  Bridal Veil from The Legends.

And today I want to show you Perceval which is a gorgeous rich metallic red!

Please excuse the horrible flash

Not only the colour is gorgeous but the quality is

Nail Of The Day: Max Factor Glossfinity Nail Polish in 85 Cerise

Max Factor Glossfinity nail polish in 85 Cerise was an impulse purchase  but I love it so much that I recently bought a second bottle, as I’ve used up the first one. And that says a lot, considering how many nail polishes I have, and red ones in particular.

It is a gorgeous glossy warm toned red which  looks opaque even with one coat. It is like the coolest accessory for your nails, it brightens up everything. As dramatic as it sounds – Cerise makes me feel incredible, and I never want to be without it.

I have mentioned it so many times but somehow never posted a proper swatch, so here it is. (I am also wearing it here)

Nails Of The Day: Rimmel Lasting Finish Fruities Nail Polish in Strawberry Fizz

I encourage my friends and readers to experiment with the colours they wear. So I thought I should do it, too! This is why I went out and bought this barbie pink nail polish.

Now seriously, me wearing such nail polish is like a lady with a  very conservative taste wearing a black nail polish.

I only love pink in lip  products and blushes, everywhere else – it’s a big n0-no for me!

My favourite pinkish nail polish is Rimmel’s Funtime Fuchsia  but it is more of a bright fuchsia pink. I also have Essence Vip Appeal which is like a dusty pink . It was a huge deal for me to wear it.

I am a big fan of

Nude Nail Polishes: Dior, Ciate, butter LONDON, Yves Rocher, Rimmel and MeMeMe

For someone who is not exactly into “nude” nail polishes, I have quite a few. I have chosen seven which could fit the nude/taupe/brown-ish category.

So what shades do I have? And which is my favourite?

Nude Nail polishes Dior, Ciate, MeMeMe, butter LONDON, Yves Rocher,Rimmel

Dior Vernis in Grege

I love the wide and thin brush which makes the application super easy and fast.  It is a beautiful warm shade which suits me when I get some tan. But if you have a light-to-medium warm skin tone – this may be a perfect nude for you.  See it applied on the nails.

MeMeMe Long Lasting Gloss in Alluring

This is one of the darkest nail polishes from the selection, and should be a nice nude for people with darker skin. Or if you want a brown nail polish against the light skin.  The quality is nice for the price, too.  Swatches.

Yves Rocher Nail Polish in Taupe

This is definitely not a nude, but a taupe.  Such shade was super popular several years ago and I can totally see why: it goes well with pretty much everything and doesn’t compete with your outfit or accessories. Manicure with it.
