Nails of the Day: OPI Midnight in Moscow

I am wearing  Midnight in Moscow by OPI. This is a nail polish from Fall 2007 Russian collection.

OPI describes it this way:

“Be ready to step out at Midnight in Moscow with this elegant OPI Russian Midnight in Moscow Nail Lacquer. The colour is a graceful charcoal with a hint of maroon glimmer that will dazzle any watching eye.”

And I just love this shade because it’s so beautiful. It looks different from different angles:

  • black
  • brown
  • shimmery burgundy

It also looks different in different light!

I’ve took a lot of photos because it was pretty hard to capture the true beauty of this shade but this one looks close to the real life. I am wearing 2 coats of nail polish and no top coat.

And what do you think of such shades? What nail polish are you wearing today? I’ve noticed that I am getting more and more interested in nail polishes and my small collection is getting bigger.

Nails of the Day: Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Alarm

Hi, girls! Do you remember the Illamasqua nail varnish competition? They already have 3 winners and the nail polishes will be available in Fall (2 are amazing and one I don’t like at all).

Myself, as a person who also entered  got an e-mail from the brand telling that I made it to top 50 among 6000 entries. This made me kind of excited:)

Since those nail polishes are not available yet  I’ve picked from those that already exist. I’ve picked the Alarm nail varnish( £13), which is described as “bright flame red, glossy finish.”

Tutorial: Create a Raibow For Your Nails

I saw this video about rainbow manicure  several weeks ago and I totally loved it. I wish I could be so accurate when I am using nail polish.

What a wonderful and interesting idea! Maybe I should ask my manicurist to create it for me because I certainly can’t create this myself. Well, maybe on the left hand, but not on the right, that’s for sure.

And what about you? Are you good at your own mani? Or do you visit salon every time? Would you like to see this rainbow on your nails?

Inglot Nail Enamel in # 318 Review and Swatch

Last week I wrote a  review about the coral shade that you can see on the photo and now it’s time for the lime green in #318.

I already wrote that these nail enamels are a bit different: coral has 15 ml and lime green has 16 ml, the finish is also different. Coral has a cream finish while green has – metallic.  So obviously you get the different effect. You need at least 2 coats of #318 to get the opaque cover and it chips faster than #949.  The conclusion? I am very

Nail Enamel by Inglot in 318 and 949. Review and Swatches

I wrote about one nail polish collection that I wanted to get several months ago.  I am sure that my friend Charlotte knows what I am talking about. And guess what? I could not find it!!! I contacted the brand several times via  e-mail and twitter and got no answer. By the way, I was not the only one who did and we all got the same results. I don’t understand what’s the problem here.

But well, it’s not the only nail polish brand and I can always get what I want from the other one, you know. So this is what I did! I’ve picked 2 shades  that I wanted from Inglot : lime green 318 and cream coral 949 . The brand has TONES of beautiful shades and I am so getting more of them!
