Butter London in Yummy Mummy Review and Swatches

I wanted to try Butter London for a long time already. This is what is written about the product:

“Butter London brings us non-toxic nail treatments and lacquers in an array of delicious shades. The hero product is the 3 Free line, which waves goodbye to typical (but nasty) ingredients such as formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. We love their on-trend shades and entertaining names!”

I read some reviews including these at London Makeup Girl. So now I was sure that I want to try it. But what shade? It was very hard to decide because they all looked amazing to me plus the names are great. At first I wanted to get Artful Dodger but I just decided to wait for Chanel’s Nouvelle Vague .

So Yummy Mummy looked liked a perfect shade to me. I’ve spotted some other shades that were calling my name but I when I try something for the first time I get only one product.
What were my thoughts now when I got it? First of all it’s the best nail polish design that I ever saw. I also love the name “butter London”. And in my opinion these are also important factors because now you can choose from so many brands that you should like as many factors about the product as possible.

What about the nail polish itself? I really liked the brush which is kind of small and thin. For some of you this is not the best thing to hear. But I love brushes like this because it helps you to apply the product neat and tidy. Often I do my manicure myself so this is very important for me. You get an opaque cover after you use it only once and it is one of the most important factors. But if you want to get the more intense colour – go for 2 layers.

How long it stays on nails? In my case the products started to chip on 3rd day (without top coat) but it still looked ok. But on the 4th day I had to remove it. Also I have to mention that butter London doesn’t stink like some polishes.
In general I am

7 Coral Nail Polishes for Spring 2010 & NOTD

I’ve already made a post about the coral lip products that I like and I promised you to write a post about the  nail varnishes in coral that I like and that I would like to get.

  1. Illamasqua Lament ÂŁ13, Bright coral pink, glossy finish. I am going to order it this week. I already have the Rude blush (you can read about it here) and Over lipstick and this nail varnish would look perfect with them!
  2. China Glaze Peachy Keen (swatch)
  3. Essie Tart Deco
  4. Orly Cotton Candy
  5. Barielle Blossom
  6. Barry M Coral  It is not the coral that I would like to get but I’ve never tried Barry M nail paints so I would like to try it.

And what coral nail polishes are you getting for yourself this Spring? Any other colours you like? I have to say that I don’t have any coral nail polishes and this is the closest colour that I was able to find in my humble collection

NOFD and My New Set from Make Up For Ever

I didn’t post NOTD in a really long time so it’s time to do something with the situation 😉 I got one more nail polish from Vipera Cosmetics. It was pretty hard to get it but absolutely worth it. I already made a post about this nail polish with review and swatches (yellow shade) so here is only the swatch of nail polish # 638

My hands have too many lines on them  but this is the way I was born and can do nothing with it. And here is the set  from Make Up For Ever and my new earrings that I got this weekend.

Go Green with Manhattan Cosmetics Nail Polish. Review and Swatches

I really like a lot of brands from Deutschland (Germany). My fav of all times is Artdeco.  But there are too many other great brands on every taste and wallet.  Last week I made a lot of posts about new nail polish collections so today I would like to show you the last nail polish that I got myself. It’s a super pretty shimmery green colour (#85) by Manhattan cosmetics.

“Dries only 60 seconds: long-lasting, intensive colour and shine for nails. With X-Act brush for easier application.”

I agree with everything! I love the design and the brush is amazing. Plus it takes  about a minute for nail polish to get dry.  But probably the best thing is that you get nice colour just after you use it once. On the photo below Ihave 2 layers.  I got this  nail polish for about $5.
