Choose Only 1 Beauty Brand

Last week I’ve asked my readers on Twitter and Facebook:

“If you could use only 1 beauty brand and get all their products for free what brand would you chose?”

And here are the answers, hope you also find that interesting:

  • Mac of course!
  • MAC
  • Dior!
  • Make Up For Ever of course
  • Estee Lauder
  • I think it would be MAC because they have a huge range of colors available, probably much more than any other brand
  • MAC
  • No doubt Chanel
  • Urban Decay
  • MAC
  • Chanel!
  • If it was just skincare I’d say Elemis; for makeup/skincare/body/nails….Chanel?
  • Flori Roberts
  • MAC is my answer because of the eye shadows & brushes

Looks like MAC is the winner.

And what about you?

  1. i wrote on twitter “chanel!” πŸ˜€
interesting, but what i’ve expected – mac has of course a huuuge range of colours and i totally understand why this brand was named so often.
even though i prefer chanel. for example i love the packaging more. and (this is the most important thing to me:) the lipsticks do not smell like the mac ones – i really hate this “vanilla-kind-of”-smell πŸ™
if i could chose two brands: mac (eyeshadows, blushes) and chanel (lipsticks, lipglosses, also the blushes and some colours of eyeshadows like safari (colder than satin taupe for me)).

i would like to thank you; because of your magazine i found chanel mythic (i love sienna miller and read your redcarpet-how-to-look-think) for me as the perfect to-go-colour – thank you so so much for it!!)

(sry for my baaad english. πŸ˜€ just woke up :D)

    greetings from germany,

    1. It’s a pleasure, Jessica. And danke for your comment πŸ™‚
I also love MAC eye shadows and Chanel lip products.

PS. There will be a post about Sienna this week πŸ˜‰

  2. MAC may be has the largest variety of colors but the quality of their products are pretty iffy, Chanel is the winner.

  3. I’d have to go with Lancome, I’m kind of surprised that no one chose that. I love their skincare products and makeup remover, and they turn out some very high quality cosmetics.

  4. I want two brands! YSL and Laura Mercier would cover all my needs. YSL for lipsticks, foundations, powders, mascaras, and glosses (also my HG limited edition cream blush from last year, boo!) and Laura Mercier for eyeliner, brow pencil, concealers, oh, and more blush and glosses! At a push I could manage with just YSL but they don’t really do concealer…aaarg.

I don’t require lots of colours for a slightly cheaper price than these brands so I don’t like MAC and plain black packaging from anyone doesn’t do it for me.

Chanel is an interesting one.. the quality is undoubtedly good but the products I’ve tried are all too ‘full on’ for me.

  5. Thats a tough one but I think I would either go for Dior because they have good face, eye and lip products and Lancome because theyre overall a good brand especially including skincare.
Definitely not MAC because there face products make me break out very badly.
    XO from Mexico.

  6. Chanel wins for me, though I don’t mind working hard to pay for their products. I look forward to my daily makeup thanks to Chanel’s products, too. They… never really disappoint.

MAC has a few good products, I think – couldn’t be a loyal/exclusive customer to them, though. I like their brushes and things like Paint Pots (recently purchased Soft Ochre for my NC15/20 complexion, first application today, rocks as a base and lid concealer!), I’m picking up MSF Petticoat (though still looking for a whole bunch of other MSFs) from a beauty friend soon to try their signature series. They seem to be all the rage.
