    1. Hi ketoglutarat! Eileen here. You don’t need to buy a case. The refill’s packaging does an adequate job of protecting the shadows. Several of my gal pals who also wear CdP didn’t bother getting the cases, either.

  1. I bought the eye quad refill in Thulite 201 (pink) and Malachite 203 (green). The model in the picture is wearing Thulite. It’s a gorgeous selection of colors that really play up my dark green eyes. It would be equally beautiful with brown eyes. CdP eye shadows are richly pigmented, satiny smooth, easy to blend, and wear color true all day. Some people think CdP is prohibitively expensive, but at $55 for a quad, that makes CdP less expensive than Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, Le Métier de Beauté, and the like. It’s a very cost effective way of trying out one of the premiere brands without braking the bank. Unless you plan on carrying the eyeshadows in your purse, you really don’t need to spend the extra $25 for the case. And, truth be told, you don’t need to carry these around with you because they wear so well throughout the day. These are definitely worth the splurge.

  2. Thank you for sharing, Eileen. Unfortunately, I don’t have anything from the brand because it’s hard to find it here. Although we do have some luxurious brands like Sisley and La Prairie, I haven’t seen CdP anywhere around. Now I may consider getting something without actually seeing it because of your comment.

I often get makeup on-line without testing but those are usually cheaper brands.

    1. Marina, once you’ve tried one of these quads, you’ll know the true meaning of the expression “luxury brand”. They really are very special. You can dup some of the colors, but not CdP’s outstanding formula. Kayanite 202 is blue, Malachite 201 is green, Thulite 203 is pink and is the star of the collection in my opinion, Gold 204 and Platinum 205 are self explanatory and are the most shimmery of the quads. All of the quads have colors that glow thanks to the light reflective pigments that CdP uses. And, if you do decide to order one of these, you definitely DON’T need the case. I hope that you’ll get as much pleasure out of your selection as I’ve gotten out of mine.

      1. That sounds so tempting and $55 is not a huge price compared to European prices for the makeup. Thank you, Eileen! I will probably ask some of my friends to get it for me. I wish we had CdP and SUQQU in my city.
