Just after I first heard of the new Dior Addict lipstick I knew that it would be mine! As I already said – I love absolutely everything about it, from the promo video and images to the design and the formula.

There are so many shades that everyone can get a right one. If you want something very subtle – go for 253 Basic which looks similar to Guerlain 71 Rose Desir from spring which was hard to get in some countries as far as I know (I’ve swatched them both on my lips, one side was Dior on the other – Guerlain, it was the closest dupe we could find, by we I mean me and sales assistant). It may be also similar to Chanel’s Boy but I haven’t compared them.

Speaking of Rouge Coco Shine, I didn’t get one yet because I was so overwhelmed with Dior that I couldn’t pick the shade, but I will be back for it later. Although I think I will just get the Boy as I want something very natural and sheer for an every day use, as I don’t wear opaque nude lipsticks.
But back to the Dior Addict Lipstick. I’ve been wearing mine for several days and now I can give my thoughts on it. First of all – look at the package, isn’t it gorgeous? It looks like a rainbow in the sun, amazing effect and it seems that I can look at it for ages.
The lipstick itself is slim and I think it’s very sophisticated and chic. The texture is amazing! It feels so light and moisturizing on the lips, I love it. The darker shades are pigmented but not opaque and the lighter shades give a beautiful sheen to the lips.
Some lipsticks have more shimmer to them, some are more subtle, but the shimmer is gentle , the shiny parts are very delicate, they give this fresh and “springy” feeling. So playful and youthful.
I am sorry that it is used but I could wait to take the photo, had to use it straight after I’ve got it
It was hard for me to choose the shade because I loved so many but I promised myself not to get carried away and get only one shade – so I’ve got the 561 Baby Rose which is a sheer baby pink with blueish micro shimmer, just as I love it. It gives a sheer effect but you can built the intensity slightly.
The scent is very subtle and I personally find it really nice. I can’t tell you how long it lasts on the lips as I like to re-apply mine from time to time.
Would I recommend these? I definitely would, as I honestly can’t think of anything negative here, maybe only the price in some countries.
Well, done, Dior! Now I want to see the new YSL and Lancome lipsticks but they are not available yet.

That’s a very pretty colour! Not quite for me because its a tad light but very pretty nonetheless. I’m loving the new Dior Addict lippies 🙂
