I have nail polish on my toe nails almost all year round but summer is the time when everyone else can see it. And…comment on it. This is exactly what my friend, male-who-is-forty-years-old, did. I was actually shocked as he is the person who could not care less about my nail polish.
He: What’s with your nails?
Me: What is it?
He: Well, your manicure matches the dress (while it most certainly wasn’t). And what about the pedicure? Why is it red?
Me: Hmmm… Doesn’t red go with everything?
I wore Essie Over the Knee for my manicure and Illamasqua Alarm for my pedicure.
And do you match your madi and pedi? Do you go for one colour or just try to co-ordinate the shades? Or maybe you just could not care less and would easily wear acid green for your mani and matte pink for your pedi or whatever your choice would be?
i don’t match it at all…..my pedicure usually lasts a month while I change my nails every day or every other day, so no way would I put on the same color all of the time lol.

I don’t match it either, I find that boring. But i do try to coordinate the colors… well, that’s not realy hard for me, since I’m not a nail polish fanatic and I have a very poor collection. 🙂

I agree with you and Vonnie. My pedicure lasts weeks on end and as I change my nails about twice a week that would be too much work! I do try to keep it within the same color family or colors that compliment eachother. I wouldn’t wear red toes and blue nails for instance. In the winter it’s easy as no one sees my toes but my husband and he never notices things like that, ha-ha.
I’m dying for the new Chanel polishes. Do you have them in the UK yet? I’ve checked here in Germany and they say the beginning of August.

Yes, most men usually don’t care, this is why I was so surprised. Plus I think that these colours match 🙂
i agree with you all!i dont match them either!i usually prefer yellow nails (mimosa by chanel) for the manicure and sth dark such as navy blue for the pedicure!
I match my mani with my clothing and for my pedi I choose something that can go with everything since it lasts longer. And my man does notice. He’s the one doing my pedi!!!

I would think that matching finger and toenails would be the faux pas!
Right now, I’ve got Sally Hansens Peachy Breeze (vibrant peach/coral) on my fingers, and SinfulColors Nirvana (muted brown/grey) on my toes. 😉
I tend not to match, just because I’m a bit lazy and change my fingers more often than my toes 🙂
Unless it is a special occasion, I don’t match it at all but just wear whatever colors I feel like wearing at the moment. I change my fingers more often than my toes too though. 🙂
