Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara Review and Photos. Rave

Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara really caught my attention, and I’ve decided to buy one, without reading any reviews before head. I have also picked up the famous Phenomen’ Eyes to see for myself how it works.  When I came home I saw that I’ve  got the Noir Couture in Brown…
Yes, I have a new thing, taking photos of makeup with my books that is.

At first I wanted to exchange it but then I’ve realised that I have tried all kinds of mascaras from green and blue to purple, and even oxblood, but never a brown one, so it was about time [I did buy a brown mascara from Benefit ages ago but forgot about it, and it dried out].

First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate the beautiful, minimalistic and chic design of this mascara, the best one out there, in my opinion. Givenchy bring out some special edition tubes from time to time but I just wanted a classic one.

As for the formula, it is brilliant!  I really love it. It does give volume and length, and you can create a pretty dramatic effect with this mascara, thanks to the wand which allows you to reach even the shortest lashes, I find. I  also like it [the brush], as that it allows to apply the product without creating any clumps.

Moreover, it is promised that Noir Couture contains the Lash Booster Expert Complex and Cotton Nectar, that fortifies, nourishes and protects the lashes with each application. And I like how quite a few brands use  ingredients that improve the condition of your lashes in their mascaras these days, as they do work.

As for the Brown Satin shade, I am actually very pleased that I have got it, not the black one, after all.  Here it is compared to the black shade (Too Faced Better Than Sex).

Since I am not a fan of black smoky eyes on myself anyway, I find that this brown shade works great on me with most of the looks I wear. I actually prefer the brown mascara with dark or red lips, as I find it to be more modern ( I could never do a mascara-less look but brown is softer and more youthful than black, in my opinion anyway).

While I do not use black eye shadows, I am an avid wearer of black eye liner, however, it was not a problem to switch to dark brown, I am using this Inglot, Maybelline and Chanel eye shadows.

Overall, I am a BIG fan of this mascara, and of this shade, and I have been neglecting all my other mascara ever since I’ve bought this one in December.  You can get yours from  Neiman MarcusBarneysHarrods, Sephora, Escentual and Nordstrom.
