Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism Collection Review and Swatches

So, as promised, here are my thoughts on some Illamasqua products from their Human Fundamentalism collection.

I have already posted swatches and my thoughts about the Nomad nail varnish so this post will be about the eye shadows and the Sealing Gel.

The best thing about receiving Illamasqua packages  – their booklets and all extra creative little things like a beautiful envelope with a name and a piece of colourful cloth. And a candy, of course!

So, besides the Nomad nail varnish, I have Powder Eye Shadows in Vernau (yellow ochre) and CanCan (bright lilac purple).

Actually I also have Fatal eye shadow (deep royal purple) which is not from this collection but I thought I would include it as I am talking about the eye shadows. Each retails for £15.50.

Here is also a  Sealing Gel (set of  2 x 6ml  is £10.50). It is a liquid which you can mix with any product you want to create a ‘colour-intense, water-resistant paste that dries quickly and lasts for hours’.

I have been wearing these eye shadows for several days in a row as I really enjoy the shades and the quality. It is not that easy to find a good quality matte eye shadows. I personally really love Make Up For Ever, Inglot and  the Illamasqua ones are also fantastic.

They are not chalky and have a great pigmentation and staying power. CanCan and Fatal look amazing together and they are really wearable actually, perfect lilac/purple look for Spring. By the way, I’ve also tried wearing these with Illamasqua  Cream Pigments in Dab and Mould.

As for Vernau, it is a nice warm brown ‘shading’ colour. Works  great for a simple eye makeup  that your can wear with a bold lip. I personally love using it in the crease and for some definition on the lower lash line without making it obvious.

Speaking of the Sealing Gel, I really like how it performs, it does create a beautiful ‘liner’ from a shadow which stays on well so I’ll be definitely experimenting with it in the future.
