Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation. Inspired by BB Creams

I’ve heard the new Illamasqua foundation several months ago and I am happy to have all the details finally.

The most interesting thing about it is that it is inspired by ” the cult Asian market Beauty Balm creams, Skin Base Foundation is a brand new, refined formula unlike anything on the UK market. The ultimate ‘skin realism’ foundation.”

This gorgeous look is created by National Make-up Artist Clare Lille  and the products that were used, besides the new foundation, are: Cream Pigment in ‘Dab’, Powder Blusher in ‘Hussy’, Precision Ink in ‘Glister’, Eye Brow Cake in ‘Peak’, Sheer Lipgloss in ‘Tantrum’

Manicure is created  by Marian Newman, she used  Nail Varnishes in ‘Scorn’ [matt black] and  in Jo’Mina [lilac].

And I really love what is written about this new foundation, sounds like an amazing product, just see for yourself:

“Illamasqua’s revolutionary new foundation is a ‘water in silicone’ based formula that works effectively as both skincare and foundation. Skin Base can be used as a primer, liquid concealer, or foundation that melts into the skin to even out and balance skin tones providing undetectable yet flawless enhancement. Non-evident foundation appearance. Believable skin finish. Skin Base contains a Vitamin C derivative which can scavenge and destroy aggressive oxidizing agents and free radicals on the skin. Skin Base will be available in 18 shades, incorporating every skintone.”

Available online from 23rd June £25 for 30ml.

I personally would love to try this product as it sounds amazing. I hope it will work for my dry skin.

  1. I was kind of lost in their promo picture. Without reading the title I couldn’t have figured out what they try to advertise.A new nail polish, new makeup collection or coming out with a jewelry line. I guess after all it’s just a new foundation.
