Makeup4All Magazine: How It Was Created and FAQS

I’ve got so many comments and questions about the first issue of the on-line magazine Makeup4All that I just have to make this post and tell you about everything. Also I would like to tell you how I got this idea and how did it all come together. But first of all I want to thank you all from thew bottom of my heart for all the lovely comments, e-mails and tweets that I got. You support means so much to me!

Where from did I get the idea and how it all started?

I’ve always wanted to do something special for the blog but didn’t know what. So one day I was chatting with Mr. (yes, he has to listen about my blog, about how much I need a new Chanel lipstick and a new purse etc. ) and he told me: “Well, you waste (I’d say spend) money on magazines so why don’t you make your own?!” I was shocked. Like how can I make my own magazine? So many people work on it: writers, editors, photographers, stylists, designers, make-up artists  etc. How can I make it myself? Are you crazy? But he would never stop. We were talking about it since summer (or even last spring) and this winter I finally gave up. It was a huge challenge. But I love to risk sometimes. I was also curious about the results.

What the process looked like?

Probably the most difficult part was to think about the content. I was brainstorming it for a long time. When I finally had some ideas I was looking for photos and Press Releases. I also wanted to have some tutorials and interviews. So  I contacted people and brands. So many never answered so I would like to thank all of you who did. The idea to make it a Spring issue came later because at first I didn’t know what would be the main topic of this all.

Who helped me?

I don’t think that I could do everything by myself so there were 2 people who helped me a lot!  Mr. and my dear friend BritishBeautyBlogger.   BBB was the first person who saw  this magazine: she  gave me some nice ideas and also edited the text.  For those of you who don’t know she is a beauty journalist and blogger so obviously she is the best at witty names and has an amazing writing style (you can see it for yourself at her blog). The other person who helped me is my dear Mr.  He helped me with the design and was always there when I felt down and thought that this all is a bad idea. But the most important that these people believed in me and in this project and when I know that people believe in me I can do everything!

Of course I have to mention Lisa EldridgeKaren, Jacqueline and  all of the lovely bloggers who sent me their answers and took part in it.  Also I want to thank all the lovely ladies who made a post about the magazine and mentioned it on their blogs! x

Will we see other issues?

I can’t guarantee that but with all you amazing feedback and support I will try to do my best.  I already have a lot of ideas to be honest but it depends on a lot of things. I hope this time it would be easier to get promo pictures with normal resolution and brands would not ignore my requests. Also I would like some people to help me and this time to do more pages but with more people.

Questions for you, and this is probably  the most important part 😉

The image is by my friend

1) What did you like the best in this issue?

2) What would you like to see in the next one?

3) What brands, people would you like to be mentioned/ take part in it?

And here are my answers

1) I really loved the cover look, interview with Lisa,  BBB, Karen and the bloggers. I also liked making the list of best spring beauty buys.

2) Would like to have some interviews,  I would also want to focus on some brands and to ask them several questions. But I am 100% sure that I want to have Blogospheric Beauty one more time!

3)  I am thinking what look should be on the cover and what Make-Up Artist is good enough to do it after Lisa (but I have some ideas), as for the brands here  are some that I am thinking about: Illamasqua, Benefit, Guerlain, Rouge Bunny Rouge, Edward Bess and I dream about be Chanel and YSL.

I guess this is it. I would really appreciate your answers because they will help me a lot!

Also feel free to ask questions and comment x
