In this day and age, when we have such an overwhelming amount of products to choose from, I personally love knowing the story behind the brand, something about the founders and the values of the company.
This is why I was very interested in the R+CO after I’ve listened to the Fat Mascara podcast with Garren, one of the co-founders. Obviously, I knew who he was but it was incredible to listen to such a great interview. I would encourage you to listen,as well. But, in a nutshell, R+Co was founded by three renowned hair stylists, so it was obvious that the range would be out-of-this-world-amazing.
I’ve decided to start with Dallas Thickening Shampoo. But as I was writing this feature, it came to my attention that it is now Dallas Biotin Thickening Shampoo. Not sure if it is still the exact same shampoo.
Spoiler alert! I absolutely love everything about this shampoo.
The quirky packaging. All R+Co products have cool and outstanding design.
The scent. It is to die for. I mean it. They have this Dark Waves fragrance (which you can also buy as a hair perfume) which I just can’t get enough of. Described as “a warm romantic scent” it has notes of: Cardamom, Pineapple, Tangerine, Lavender, Bamboo, Blonde Woods. Did I say that I am addicted to it already?
Finally, the most important thing. The performance. This shampoo does exactly what it says. Thickens the hair. It looks voluminous, bouncy and just “healthy”. Incredible results! Not to mention, that the hair looks sleek and glossy, and I don’t even use conditioner.
Moreover, out of all the products I have in the shower (there are quite a few), this is the one my husband loves
stealing borrowing the most. He also commented on how it made hair hair look thick and voluminous. In fact, even his colleagues asked about his “new hair style”.
As you can see, I am very pleased with this purchase, and will be definitely getting more products from R+Co when I run out of some of the products I am currently using. I’ve heard the dry shampoos are wonderful.
