Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream. Is It Worth The Hype?

There are so many fans of the Neutrogena’s  Norwegian Formula hand cream so when I was  looking for a new hand cream to try – I knew that it should be this one.

So last month I went to get this cream , but of course I couldn’t leave with only one cream, so I bought 3 eye pencils by Bourjous, but well, they were  so beautiful.

But back to the cream. I’ve got myself a concentrated one (50ml), the one which is scented because I like scented skincare. But unscented is a good option for a lot of people and for men as well.

The package is very compact and nice. And what about the cream itself?

It is brilliant!  I absolutely loved the formula, you need just a tiny amount and it makes your hands super moisturised and nourished, the skin feels so soft and silky. It is perfect for a winter weather.

I am not the only one who found it awesome, my brother, ehm, “borrowed” it and he was very impressed and, believe me, his hands are in horrible condition. I may even be a loving older sister and get him an unscented version if he behaves. I also asked my Mama to try it and she  said that although it is nice she prefers less concentrated creams and this one was a bit too heavy for her.

As you can see, it is really worth trying this cream, and even if you won’t like it, it’s not that expensive (about €5), so it’s not that bad. After liking the hand cream, I’ve got a body balm and I also plan to get a feet cream later. I think Norwegian Formula is a great and affordable line for dry skin.

And are there any fans of Norwegian Formula by Neutrogena out there? What is your favourite product?

  1. Hi, Marina! Really enjoy reading your blog! =)
Well, I have two Neutrogena Norwegian Formula products: Foaming Cleasing Wash and Deep Body Body Lotion. I simply love them! My skin is really dry, and it gets even worse in the winter, but these two do help keep my face and body moisturised. I think I’ll have to try this hand cream now lol

  2. This hand cream is great for dry, chapped hands & nails. I used it faithfully for several years, but then I moved on to Lubriderm unscented which is lighter. Only the small (and I mean small) sizes of the Norwegian hand cream were available to me online (USA), so it got to be annoying, buying several at a time.

So, yes, I was a fan, and if things get bad again for my hands, I’ll go back to this oldie-but-goodie.

  3. Try applying the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula to wet hands and it will work even better. The cream was developed for fishermen and it is product folklore that it was intended to be used on wet hands. I don’t believe
the product packaging suggest this set but, it does make a difference.

  4. It is an effective hand cream, I’ll give it that, but way too thick for my taste…! I go for lighter formulations like your mum (she might like the Korres one btw)!
