It’s been quite some time since I did the “empties” post last time. Since this weekend I was cleaning my bathroom, and found several empty bottles, I though I’d share with you. I usually throw those away immediately, but here are some that I’ve kept for the post 🙂
So, here we go…
A lot of Clarins, nothing new here. Clarins Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion for Dry and Sensitive Skin and Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser with Peach Essential Water are simply brilliant. Both products! One of the best toner, and a great morning cleanser when you don’t have time or don’t want to spend a lot of time massaging in your cleansing balm. I will definitely re-purchase both in the future.
The Double Serum doesn’t even need an introduction, it was probably the most talked about, multi-award winning, serum in the last two years. And rightly so, it is very good.
The best on-line shop to buy Clarins from is Escentuals.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with
I am a big fan of cleansing balms and melting cleansers mostly because they work great for my dry and sensitive skin, and also because I love to massage my face while using a cleanser.
It all started with Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel (review) back in 2011, and I never looked back! Over the years I have now tried quite a few, so decided to make a lill’ round-up. Maybe, if you are looking for such kind of cleanser, this will be helpful.
So, here is a preview of the new Clarins palette and amazing value sets for Christmas.
First of all, they released a Mineral Eye Make-Up Palette with ten natural shades which retails for £35. And it’s about time!
There are also a lot of value beauty and makeup sets to choose from. I personally have a tradition of getting at least one Clarins set each year. At least this is what I did for the last three years. It’s a great opportunity to try the brand’s products if you are not familiar with Clarins. Or to stock up on your favourites, while saving money, which is my case.
I think I will get HydraQuench set this year, as I am a die hard fan of the line and am running out of the serum and cream already.
I have reviewed tonnes of Clarins products over the years, so you can take a look if you are curious about any.

I am a huge fan of Clarins’ toners: I have already tried Clarins Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion for Dry and Sensitive, Clarins Toning Lotion with Camomile for Dry and Normal Skin and Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner.
And I really wanted to try the brand’s cleansers: Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser with Peach Essential Water and One-Step Facial Cleanser with Orange Extract.
I plan using them in the mornings when I am often in a rush, so picked up the first one this time and will get the other one next time. I will report back later but have big hopes for this product!
I also wanted to buy a new soap so got the Korres one with milk. The lady in the shop told me that it’s her personal favourite from the range, so hopefully it will not disappoint.
By the way, if you are looking for nice soaps, I personally really love Cowshed, those are brilliant.
I was never a fan of soaps in the past, as they left my skin dry and tight afterwards. As you know, old habits (or stereotypes, in this case) die hard so I was using gels and creams for body and face for a very long time.
But several years ago I’ve decided to give soaps another chance. And I was definitely surprised to see how things have changed since then. These days there are a lot of gentle, delicate and creamy soaps to choose from. I already wrote about some of my favourite discoveries, such as L’Occitane and Cowshed and today would like to tell you about Clarins Beauty Soap.
According to the brand it’s a “water-based certified organic bar soap for face and body which contains 99% natural ingredients”.
