I never liked my hair, there are so many things I don’t like about it that I won’t even bother mentioning them all. At least I am happy that it is straight and I am also happy with my natural hair colour; I have had all the shades and styles in the past. But I have stopped dying it when I was about 22-23, and I am happy with my [natural] dark cool-toned brunette look.
As I have already mentioned in several previous posts, I am currently trying to figure out what products I still need to add to my routine. I have also used up several that I have been loving, so am looking for a replacement. Or should I just re-purchase the old favourites?
Here are my picks:
I am seeing it everywhere now. Apparently it is supposed to be a miracle-in-a-pill, and a lot of people swear by it. I did try Philip Kingsley “hair vitamins” in the past, by the way. So think about giving these a go. What if the results will be really great? I guess, we will see.
A Good Brush/Brushes
Believe it or
I have a new rule when it comes to beauty products, one out – one in (ok, maybe more than one in)! Meaning that I am allowed to buy new beauty products only after I finish some from those that I already have. This is why I get a bit excited when I see a new empty bottle in my bathroom.
I actually have some new items on the way to me, as I type. Can’t wait to try my them all!
I know that it’s not the end of Autumn yet, and there are still three weeks, but I have big doubts that I will finish anything else by the end of the month.
And by the way, here are Summer Empties. I’ve decided to do such features every season.
I really love bath oils, so, since I’ve used up two of my favourites Lavera Organic Wild Rose Bath Oil and Cowshed Lazy Cow Soothing Bath & Body Oil to the very last drop – I’ve already ordered some new ones, which are on their way to me.
Since I have very dry skin, I have to use body moisturizers, sometimes more than once a day, so I go through them quite quickly and this month I have finished the following products:
The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter. I think these butters don’t need any introduction and explanation, they are fantastic.
Aromatherapy Assosiates Enrich Body Serum. I never used a body serum before, and was excited to try such kind of product, as it makes sense to use serums/oils on the body before a cream just, as you would on the face. It works! Plus, as
It’s about time I write about my beauty favourites of 2012, right?
I am sorry that it took me absolutely ages to get around. I really loved reading such type of posts and watching such type of videos.
So, hopefully, you will like my list, too.
I will start with perfume and hair care, as these are the shortest categories (for me).
Molecule 01 by Escentric Molecules
There was a lot of hype around this product this year and I have to admit that I am a fan, too. You can read all the details about this fragrance here.
Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay Cologne
I have realised that I really love blackberry note in my perfumes. Blackberry and Bay from Jo Malone was the scent I wore during my holiday in August and during all September so whenever I were it now, it makes me think of very nice moments in my life. As it was a Limited Edition, I only use it on the special occasions.
Illamasqua Freak Eau De Parfum
For me this is a super sexy scent, but it’s not over the top, plus it lasts really well on me. No wonder that people from Illamasqua are so proud of it. I have several samples but definitely have to get a full size.
Aromatherapy Associates Relax Candle
This has to be my favourite candle of 2012, as it does help to relax in the evening and is a high quality product. Read more about it here.
I really liked this post at Modesty Brown about Jane’s shower essentials, so I thought I’d show you what I have been using this week. I have tones of products for bath/shower as I love variety but I’ve narrowed them down to seven.
Can you guess what brands I have been loving lately? 😉
1. Cowshed Cowlick Gentle Shampoo
This shampoo smells absolutely amazing (lemon & ylang ylang) and it does leave my hair clean and shiny, however it gets greasy faster than I would like. Maybe it suits people with dryer hair better?
2. Philip Kingsley Elastisizer
This is a cult product and I have finally decided to try it! I have used it only three times but so far, so good. Will let you know my thoughts about it later.
3. Cowshed Lazy Cow Soothing Bath and Body Oil
This is a great multi-porpoise product as it can be used as a bath oil and body oil. It does make the skin softer and smells great. I have got it to treat myself and am happy with my purchase, as it is a truly luxurious product. Expect a post about it in the future!
4. Cowshed Knackered Cow Soap
Maybe not the most attractive photo as it is properly used, but I am in love with these Cowshed soap I have got some time ago. I actually plan to try all the others (there are three more) from the range. They don’t dry out my skin but leave it clean, would
Do you love Cate Blanchett as much as I do?
She always looks wonderful. Do you want to know what is she using?
