I have promised a review of Clarins Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream for Dry and Sensitive Skin for some time already, so here it is finally.
I have dry and sensitive skin, so I want my cleanser to be gentle, yet effective, and this one is exactly that!
This is a cream that you massage in with lifting motions into the skin and then wash off with warm water. So not only you cleanse your face but also massage it, and it’s a huge benefit for the skin, obviously. There is video on a Clarins website, by the way, on how to do it!
This cleanser with Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Palm Oil leaves my skin properly clean, smooth and soft. It does not feel dried out, irritated or tight at all! Unfortunately, a lot of cleansers do that…
It is a
I wanted to get Clarins’ Gorgeous Getaways Face and Body Essentials (£44.10) for some time now. The brand brought it out last year and they brought it out this year, as well. So I did buy it finally and it was my first beauty purchase of 2013!
This is a great way to try the brand and save a lot of money. Or if you are already a fan of Clarins, and I am, a great way to stock up on your favourites.
I have already tried four products out of six and have actually reviewed three out of four, so you can see the links below.
You may have noticed that I am a huge fan of Clarins, especially their skincare 😉
And I am actually excited about their skincare sets for this Christmas! There are actually some sets and a lot of skincare sets but I want to show you my picks.
Clarins Daily Energizers Radiance Booster Collection , £20
- Clarins Daily Energizer Cream 30ml
- Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel 30ml
- Clarins Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster 30ml
I have got myself this set last year and was very happy with it, see my review here. Plus it is also an excellent value for money!
Clarins Gorgeous Getaways Face and Body Essentials, £44.10
- Beauty Flash Balm 50ml, read my review here.
- Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 100ml, read my review here.
- One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser 75ml
- Moisture-Rich Body Lotion 100ml, will write a review soon.
- Foot Beauty Treatment Cream 30ml
- HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase 15ml, will write a review soon.
I really wanted to get this set last year but somehow never did, so will have to do it now! I am already a big fan of Flash Balm and HydraQuench Serum. I also like the hand cream and body lotion so would like to try the foot cream and the cleanser, too.
Clarins HydraQuench Moisture Must-Haves Collection , £30.15
- Clarins HydraQuench Intensive
I have promised this review a long time ago, so here it is finally. It is one of my favourite cleansers which is Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel (£19/$32.50 for 125 ml) which is a melt-in-gel. It is similar to my other favourites: Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel and Terre d’Oc Milky Make-up Remover Oil.
I originally wanted to pick up Clarins’ Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream with Shea Butter but somehow bought this one, so will get the cleansing cream next time.
As all the cleansers of this type, I massage it for some time and then wash off with warm water. The gentle gel, which also smells amazing, turns into milk and removes all traces of grim and impurities without drying out my face.
My skin feels clean, soft and ready for toner and moisturizer.
I adore it for my dry skin,
I actually love seeing what products other people finished and what products they re-purchased (even more). So I thought I’d show you some of the products that I have finished.
Although I love trying new products very much, some I re-purchase, as I find them to be amazing. Unfortunately, I have already thrown away most of the packages but here is what is left.
Vichy Dercos Shampooing Treatment Oil Control
I actually really liked this for summer as it cleaned my hair nicely without stripping it. I would re-purchase but I have already ordered a Cowshed shampoo which I’ve wanted to try for a long time already.
Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo
Unfortunately, this shampoo did not work for me because my hair got greasy after about 1.5 days which was not good at all. I would try other shampoo from the range but would not get this one again. I am actually taking PK vitamins for hair for the second month already (the course is four months) and I think I can see some improvements already. But will update on that in September.
Two Elemis products
Elemis tranquil Touch Body Polish (review here)
I had to cut the packaging to get every single drop of this product. I have actually purchased the second tube already. Next time I plan to get their mint scrub as it’s the only scrub from the brand I haven’t tried yet. Their Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow is brilliant, too.
Elemis Treat Your Feet Foot Cream (review here)
This has to be the best foot cream I have ever tried! It is very effective and the scent is to die for. Whenever I use it and someone is around, I always get asked about it. And, yes, I have ordered one more tube last week. I highly
