It is that time of the month when we are talking about favourites, again. Can you believe that it is the last month of the year now? Speaking of December, I will be extremely busy so probably there will be a lack of posts, although there are tonnes of products I want to share about with you, but I will try to keep you updated on Instagram.
And here is the list of products I have been loving in November.
theBalm the Manizer Sisters palette
I’ve had this palette on my wish list ever since I’ve found out about it and finally got in November, and it is all kinds of dreamy, soft buttery textures that creates glow and luminosity, your “winter’s skin” best friend in a pan. I will write a detailed review this week, so stay tuned.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Kiss Elixir Lip Balm (review)
This lip balm is one of my favourites because it just works, nice formula, feels lovely on the lips, and it heals the cracked skin or prevents it from happening. This is my second tube. I squeeze out some on my finger, and also apply what is left on my cuticles.
Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liners, one in East End Snob
Yes, I did get this lip liner to see why everyone loves it so much. I love Rimmel lip products anyway so this felt like a nice addition to my makeup bag. East End Snob works great for making your lips look fuller in a non-obnoxious way, there is not need to overdraw them like there is no tomorrow.
Clarins Eyebrow Pencil in 02 Light Brown
Considering that I have been using this eye brow product exclusively on my brows for the last several months I am surprised that I’ve never mentioned it. I like the texture which is not too soft so you get control over the application but at the same time it is not harsh; the bets formula. The spoolie on the other end is very helpful, too.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich (for dry skin) and Elemental Herbology Vital Glow Overnight Resurfacing Creams.
October is one of my favourite months and I am kind of sad that it is over already but it was a great one despite the fact that I was ill for over a week.
I’ve decided that before talking about my beauty favourites, I’d mention some other things I like/enjoy:
- I’ve finally went to my first swimming class after planning on going for months. Since I’ve got sick the next day I haven’t been back yet but I will be. Next week.
- Downton Abbey. That 1920’s style…And I refuse to accept that it’s the last season.
- Since I was ill for a week at home, I’ve got time to read and it was wonderful. I was mostly reading cultural and philosophical articles (yeah, I do love such topics) but here is my reading list.
- And finally – Pinterest. This has to be my favourite social media, I am always browsing/pinning/saving photos.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Alluring Rose (review and swatches)
This is probably my favourite launch of the year. Seriously, I could not love these blushes more than I do, and I feel like I have been going on, and on about them. They have the creamiest and softest texture, blend beautifully and have that all-in-one effect. You don’t really need any highlighter or sculpting, just this. And
Recently I received a lot of messages from people who were saying that during the time that we have now they were grateful for all the makeup and beauty things I have shared over the years. They also said how now, that they stay at home, they have time to enjoy beauty, and how it helps to take their minds off the situation. Knowing that it helps someone is very inspiring and makes me want to keep on going.
To be honest, I have read more beauty and style related (I even re-organised my clothes) content in the last several days than usual myself. I just found it to be therapeutic almost. This is why I will continue to write about beauty. At least for now.
And today I want to share about my latest discovery, an absolutely brilliant and affordable body lotion. I have used up a few body creams (here), and was excited to try something new.
More time at home – more time to read books
Dove were clearly listening to the customers, and named their product Nourishing Body Care Pro Age Body Lotion. No one really wants to hear anti-aging any more, and rightly so.
So what is so special about this product? It contains AHA, olive oil and vitamin B3 which does wonders for dry skin. I don’t think my skin was ever so smooth and soft; it is like this only when I am on a sea holiday. I am
Makeup is a great investment, especially if you are enjoying to experiment with different looks. With various options available, nearly everyone can enhance their features with makeup products. No matter how much you are loving the look, removing the makeup after a long day of work is crucial. Here are some reasons why removing makeup with products like Neutrogena 卸妝 is an important step in everyone’s skin care routine:
1. It removes superficial dirt, pollution, and products residue
One of the most important reasons why people should invest in makeup removers for their skin care routine is because of the overall effects. The main purpose is to remove dirt, pollution, and makeup which ends up on our skin throughout the day. This also helps with the cell renewal process, just without scrubbing the face with gritty exfoliators, since many makeup removers or oil cleansers are generally made with ingredients that are beneficial for the skin.
2. It reduces the risk of developing more blemishes and breakouts in the future
Incorporating oil cleansers and makeup removers in your daily skin care regime promotes habits that help with an overall appearance of the skin. Removal of all that
