I will always be excited about makeup, I have been for as long as I remember myself and I always will be. But lately I have been more reasonable with my makeup purchases. The thing is that, if I am honest, I don’t need 20th highlighter even if it is super limited edition and is slightly different to what I already own.
Speaking of new releases, there are so many amazing new lipsticks coming out for SS16 (watch this space), and, yes, I would like at least one of each but do I really need them? Moreover, I can’t fit what I already have in my storage.
Now where was I? Oh, yes, that I am being more reasonable with my makeup purchases. Instead, I have invested in swimming classes several times per week and a wardrobe renewal (like these new shoes). I have been avoiding the latter like a plague but I am very pleased with all the items I have purchased in the last year. The fact that I got rid of the unloved pieces also makes me ridiculously happy, too. Hello, more space.
When it comes to beauty I try and make lists of things that I need or really want not to get any random stuff. So what where the latest beauty products I’ve bought?
If you follow me on Instagram, you already saw that I’ve bought some new beauty products over the weekend. And here they are:
Neutrogena Deep Moisture Body Lotion
I can never have too many body lotions, I simply have to use body creams, as my skin is ridiculously dry. I am a huge fan of this Neutrogena lotion but this time decided to get this version which is loved by a lot of people with dry skin.
La Roche Posay Redermic [R] Anti-Aging Concentrate Intensive
After reading a lot of raves about this retinol eye cream, I’ve decided to give it a go. I hope it is as good as everyone says it it.
Caudalie Make-up Remover Cleansing Water
I have been very good with my beauty purchases lately, meaning that I’ve been buying only the products that I really want/need (I do have a wish list, and will probably share soon).
Instead, I have been investing in different beauty procedures and accessories & apparel/shoes. This week I have picked only two products, and I am very happy with both.
I went to Lush to pick a big bottle of Rose Jam shower gel which I adore (will get it later this week though), but got this amazing soap. Not only it
Lately I haven’t really been buying that many beauty & makeup products because a) nothing really caught my eye, and I did swatch quite a lot products recently b) I want to save some money to afford more travelling this year.
This is why I’ve bought only two beauty products for myself this month, I did get some nice products for friends and family, though.
So what are those?
Garnier Oil Beauty Oil-Infused Nourishing Lotion 250ml (you can buy it here for £4.99)
I have a body scrub and an oil from this series and adore both, so thought it was about time to pick up a body lotion, too. Garnier body creams are my favourite budget options for very dry skin, so I have big hopes for this one.
I have also picked up
While my latest “Beauty Purchases” post was about affordable makeup and hair care products, this time it’s all about the skincare, and things are more on the luxury side.
1. Eisenberg Homme Exfoliant Visage Purifiant
It makes me think of Breaking Bad, just add H 😉 I have never tried anything from this brand and was never really drawn to it, mostly because it has similar prices, as Dior or Chanel, for example. But the brother wanted to try this face scrub. I hope he likes it…
2. DIOR HOMME DERMO SYSTEM Regenerating Moisturizing Balm
This range should be amazing, plus this cream was highly recommended by my favourite sales assistant. All the things she recommends are always amazing.
