Two months of 2017 are down, wow, how did it happen? But this means that it is time for monthly favourites.
To be honest, I loved/used pretty much the same products as in January, and there are very few additions.
Also, this month most of the the products I have been loving are very
cheap affordable. Let’s take a look.
I have started using my lip liners more often – especially the ArtDeco Soft Lip Liner Waterproof in 80 (review and swatches) and Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Lipner in East End Snob (review and swatches). I actually want to get the Rimmel one in red now, too. I don’t really overdraw my lips like there is no tomorrow, I mainly use them to create the shape I want, and make the lipstick look more defined. But if you want to create fuller lips – this video from Lisa Eldridge is pretty awesome.
The other cheap and cheerful product I loved is the Makeup Revolution Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Redemption Palette Iconic 3 (you can get it from Amazon UK or Amazon) which, according to all the reviews is a dupe for Urban Decay’s Naked 3. I have so many Urban Decay palettes which I have been buying over the years, but for some reason I barely ever use them, however I have been reaching for this Revolution one all the time. There are several shades I really love, and the quality is very decent, in my opinion. This palette was a present from a friend.
It’s not a secret that my favourite affordable skincare brand is
I remember when I have just launched Makeup4all [almost] 8 years ago now, I would check the analytics every day, sometimes even more than once. As Metallica’s song goes “Sad But True”. But lately I check the analytics maybe once a month just to see what features you loved the most to make some conclusions for the upcoming posts.
And here are actually 16 most viewed posts of 2016, and I have included only the features about the products that are still available. I was actually surprised to see the most popular review of 2016 was of a Rouge Bunny Rouge eye pencil. They have recently launched a new shade, so I better write up about it soon.
I was also a bit surprised to see that Max Factor reviews got a ridiculous amount of views, and I really did not expect that. But, to be honest, I am happy, as I have a very special love for Max Factor, not only it was the brand I used to buy as a teenager with my first earned money but also, it was the first brand I have ever worked with for Makeup4all, not to mention the history of the brand, so I am happy that the reviews of their products get so many views, I genuinely love so many of them.

First of all, how is it December already? I mean how is it the last month of 2016?! Are you excited for 2017? I know I am!
When I have gathered the beauty favourites to take a photo, I have realised that most of them are the same products I’ve featured in October so here are only the ones which I haven’t.
Before we start, I would like to mention some other things I really loved in November which are beauty related, too.
Photos from my Insta
Book – Branded Beauty by Mark Tungate (from Amazon and Amazon UK). I think everyone who is interested in beauty and brands should read it, the book is packed with interesting facts and quotes. I personally really enjoyed the history of so many companies and the explanation about the marketing tips and tricks.
Mr. Selfridge TV Series. (Amazon and Amazon UK). I’ve had this on my to-watch list for a long time already but gave it a go only last weekend, and it is great. I love how it shows the pre -WWI history of the legendary Selfridges. Imagine that it was unthinkable to sell beauty products over the counter back in the days for obvious reasons, it is very well shown in Season 1 Episode 3.
Sparkles. I have to admit, I just have to have anything sparkling these days to brighten up the grey and dark November days, which feel like forever nights actually.
I also simply have to include
Please excuse the lack of updates, if you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen that I’ve had some health issues so I had to take a break from pretty much everything, including Makeup4all.
Now that the picture is a bit more clear, and I feel a bit better, I can share the products I have been loving in October, and I I truly am a big fan of everything mentioned.
If I had to choose only one product – that would definitely be Rouge Bunny Rouge Serene Light Skin Perfector, this is probably my favourite product the brand has ever released! It makes your complexion look incredible – the skin just glows. You look radiant and well-rested even if that could not be further from the truth. Since it is a tinted product, I use it without any products on top but you can use the foundation of your choice, I believe it would work great with this one.
Daniel Sandler Rose Glow and Golden Glow Watercolour Blushes (review and swatches). I have re-discovered my love for these beauties! The latest two shades Daniel released have to be my favourites, and I have at least 10 shades. Watercolours look natural on the skin but they add just the perfect amount of colour to make you look youthful. Every beauty lover should try them. By the way, I would recommend this podcast with Daniel, it made me love him even more.
Besides the already mentioned base products, I’ve kept the rest of
Can you actually believe that it is May, the fifth month of the year?! Time flies, it feels as if it was 1st of January only yesterday. And this month I actually have quite a few products, including some amazing new discoveries.
Max Factor Glossfinity Nail Polish in 85 Cerise (review and swatches)
I have already finished a bottle of this, and am going through my second one, and I am wearing this, as I type, too. Such a gorgeous vibrant, juicy and glossy warm-toned red, it brightens up any look, and (almost) any mood. I am a fan.
For complexion I have been using these two products almost daily: Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Make-Up in Ivory (review and face swatches) Rouge Bunny Rouge Naked Disguise Concealer in Castalia.
Dior’s foundation is simply brilliant, it is a re-discovery for me. I like the coverage it gives and the finish, it is not matte but not too dewy either. The shade, Ivory is the lightest in the range, and looks great even on my
currently greenish pale and tired complexion. As for the concealer, I plan on writing a detailed feature about it soon. Surprisingly, I have already used half of the tube, and the love is going strong. It gives just the kind of coverage I like – the formula is not thick but it brightens up the under eye area.
Other products I have been using all the time are Inglot Sculpting HD Powder in 504 (review) which I talk about non-stop, as it is my favourite product for adding
